Today, we witnessed the wondrous specimen that is FrizzCurls' hair...an excellent example of the benefits of regular henna treatments. Serita, a long time CN.com reader and curly friend submitted her most recent hair pics as well. She also hennas regularly:
Hey Nik,
I was on your website today and saw the "Henna" postings so I decided to submit some of my recent henna pics. I have been hennaing with Punjabi Prime for over a year now. I henna every two weeks. Henna has definitely made my hair shiny, strong, and healthy. See for yourself!

Beautiful! Gotta love that henna shine! :)
I looooove the bun. Beautiful! I want to know her henna mix because I love that color. I henna, but I've been settling for the dark copper color and I just love me some shade of burgandy. TIA
Love bun!!! Do you mind sharing how you did it?
I love that bun? How did you do it?
Woman, you need to spill your bun secrets!!!!
please? :-)

LOL!!! Ladies thank you sooo much for the compliments and the questions. As for the henna mix, I use "Punjabi Prime" from Mehandi.com. As for the bun: I gathered my freshly DT'd, wet hair, with a BIG rubber band (I know it's a no-no, but it works for me...lol)positioning the hair as high as possible on my head. Then I finger curled chunks of hair (starting in the front and going around) bobbie-pinning them over the rubber band to hide it. To smoothe my edges I used a panty hose head band. Goodie Ouchless headbands work well too. Note: when you uncurl the bun it makes a beautiful curly puff!
I like the idea of henna....but just don't like the red color. My hair is naturally jet black and I love it. Any thoughts on the "colorless" henna..found at Whole Foods?
Her henna hue is gorgeous!
Hi Shelly, I only know about the different henna mixes on Mehandi.com. You might want to ask CurlyNikki about the "colorless" henna at Whole Foods OR you might wanna click on the "Connect with Nikki" forum on the right-hand side of this page to join in on the "henna" forum.
Thanks Shadow!
Shelly,
You can buy Indigo on Mehandi.com and it's supposed to make your hair black.
Thanks. I will definately look into it.
I am getting so grey and I always use a semi
permanent hair color Jazzin in a coppertone.
I want something to cover up this grey
around my temples. I tried Suriya Henna
and it didn't really help!
I have diffuse grey hairs and have never used a semi permanent hair color. I used henna once and my grey hair turned a coppery orangeish color which I preferred over the gray. Tomorrow I'm going to use henna with indigo (1:2 henna:indigo) which should color the grey (now copper) hair brown. I'll try and post my results.
How did you get your bun to look like that and how did you do the bun?
I want orange hair is there a henna that will work for me? (dark hair)
