Hello,
Just wanted to warn you ladies, the Huetiful Hair Steamer is a good for the hair but is capable of causing second degree burns (I have the burn mark on my back to prove it). The hard hat of the steamer has a plug on it. Well I was sitting under the steamer and hot water from the plug dripped on my back causing me to get up in a hurry so the remainder of the water ended up on my back. I ended up in the emergency room with a second degree burn on my back...so just a warning to be careful with this product.

Hi Nicole,
It is important that you actually use the PLUG to stop the water from coming out of the steamer. If you don't plug up the drip hole, water will come out. There is a plastic plug attached to the steamer, some people cut it off and throw it out.

I did use the plug for the unit. It was plugged in properly as indicated in the instructions. I actually followed all the directions as indicated in the instructions. I think that it was a malfunction with the unit that I purchased.
