Apparently, 'online natural hair support groups like CurlyNikki.com' inspired Dominican artist, Firelei Báez to begin sketching portraits of women with natural hair. I checked out her website and *in my Oprah voice* LOOOOOVE it! So, thanks Firelei and congrats on your O Mag feature!

Congratulations! I went on the artist's website but I may be over thinking it...or I may just have interpreted them incorrectly. But there are birds sitting atop of the hair in all of the pictures. Some of the birds have strands of hair in their mouths. My first impression was natural hair is a bird's nest....Please correct me if I'm wrong...that was just my opinion and my first impression.....http://fireleibaez.com/natural-grooming-series
