It was a cool crisp autumn morning in "The Volunteer State," and I decided to stretch my legs through one of Tennessee's most beautiful trails! Armed with my Polar FT7 (Heart Rate Monitor), leg warmers, tunes, and Plyometrics partner in crime, I set out on a mission to open up my lungs and expand my stride. I’m talking about a full-blown cardio craze! A cough up a lung is this anywhere close to being done run! Fortunately, five miles and 751 calories later, I successfully achieved my runners high filled with a unique sense of accomplishment and personal fulfillment.
In typical DigiCurls fashion, I took a moment to enjoy the view, document my experience, and squeeze in time to perform walking lunges across the bridge. Those lunges acted as my inspiration for the title of this post, and added an intense burn in my thighs, which helped to keep me warm! In my opinion, there is no greater connection to freedom than being outdoors, smelling the fresh air, and taking in the beauty of nature! It doesn’t hurt (well maybe a little) to incorporate a workout as you embrace the creation we inhabit. I encourage anyone and everyone to take time to experience first hand the work of art right outside of your front door! Make Moves That Make A Difference (MMTMAD)
