Were you a transitioner or a Big Chopper? What was your journey like?
Neither, been curly since day one.
Had you always embraced your texture?
Not always, I wanted to relax my hair before, but now I love my curls.
How did family and friends react to your decision to go natural? What was your response to them?
I always have been natural.
Describe your hair (fine or coarse, thin or thick, highly porous, low, etc.)
I would say my hair is quite thick and coarse, but I find it hard to get moisture in (even with deep conditioners).
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done to your hair?
Nothing at all really, but I would say dying my hair red.
What’s your biggest hair related regret?
Following the ombre trend because it means my ends are still duper dry.
What's your current hair routine? How often do you wash, condition, and style? Favorite products! Deets!
Would take me years to explain! But long story short, wash few times a week and deep condition once a week. I love coconut oil; it smells good and makes your curls shiny and moisturized.
What’s your favorite hairstyle? Where do you get hairstyle inspiration?
My favorite hairstyle is out and natural curls or two loose French braids.
Who is your curl crush?
How do you maintain your hair at night?
At night, I pineapple my hair and sleep on a satin pillowcase.
How do you maintain healthy length?
Get trims regularly and make sure my scalp is moisturized.
What's the best thing about being natural?
With my hair texture I can achieve so many styles so versatile I love it!
