I'm messaging you today because no matter if you're a Stay-at-Home Mom, or a CEO, or both (!!!), you're feeling the joy of Friday. So I'm just popping in to remind you that this relief you're experiencing, this subtly joyful anticipation for the relaxation ahead... it was present on Tuesday, too. It was 'here' on Monday. This peace... this happiness is always, ALWAYS available to you. But you only allow yourself to feel it on the weekend, on payday, on vacay, during that first sip of coffee or wine at the airport! But here's the thing-- those events and things aren't causing the joy. The joy is NOW, here, always. Grace is here, NOW. RELAX.

You Don't Have to Feel Good... You Just Have to Feel God.


In ‘09, I was all about ‘The Secret’... positive thinking... the law of attraction. My limited understanding led me to believe that human excitement and happiness would ‘attract’ the stuff I wanted, and so I set out on the impossible mission of staying in a super elevated mood. I’d be good for a couple of days, and then frustration, anger, or stress would come to visit and I’d feel even worse, because I was mad at myself for being mad 😂 Insanity.

10 years later, after hundreds of books and countless hours of daily meditation, I came to view both human excitement and human sadness as deviations... distractions from a truer experience. Beneath the thoughts, and familiar ‘good’ and ‘bad’ emotions is a subtle vibration of peaceful-joy. It’s been called your ‘home vibration’ or the way your soul expresses in your body. It’s a God feeling that transcends even your best good feeling. It’s a flow, a glow, a warmth, an unconditional, uncaused loving silence.

‘Letting go’ isn’t some vague, mystical, or esoteric practice. Just relax, ma! You’re usually all knotted up inside, and don’t know it. ‘Letting go’ is shifting out of the energy of ‘problems’, and ‘confusion’, and into the energy of ‘solutions’, and ‘clarity’. Surrender has the vibe of ‘vacation’, ‘love’, and ‘Saturday morning’. Get it?

Simply scan your body for this unconscious tension and then allow it to release. Breathe... melt... SMILE. When you consciously relax the body, it automatically, and effortlessly relaxes the mind. And when the mind is relaxed, you feel Go(o)d. Keep letting go, stay surrendering, and watch what happens!

When I think about my life, I often think about all the sacrifices I've made thus far just to make it another day.

I've given up relationships, jobs, and even a bit of comfort in the pursuit of what I visualize as my dreams. A lot of times, it's easier to focus on what you don't have. However, when we're able to, instead, focus on what we do have, we grant ourselves permission to manifest additional greatness into our lives.

In a lot of ways, singer and model Ciara is a glowing example of what a lot of us strive to be: the mother, the wife, and the career woman, doing it all in a seemingly effortless way. In the past, the 32-year-old has spoken about manifesting her dream husband, quarterback Russell Wilson, and why her intentional focus on positive affirmations have led her to lead the life of her dreams. But that's not the only blessing she spoke into existence.

Recently, Ciara linked up with Cosmopolitan to shoot her first cover for the magazine and also dropped some gems about her ambition, her goals, and why she will never entertain an online troll.

Don't Let Your Inner Voice Run Amok: #BeHerNow


Fun fact: When that little voice isn’t focused on something productive, like reading this passage, it starts reading you. It’s hella critical and the primary source of your angst and confidence issues. Listen to it the next time you’re idly scrolling IG. Notice how it compares, how it judges and berates...how it’s most attracted to the tea spilling posts and negativity. Notice how when you’re in traffic it chimes in to complain or offer advice on what you should’ve said when your colleague came for you yesterday and what you need to say if she comes for you today. Notice how 99% of the time it’s reminiscing about or regretting the past or projecting into the future (it is actually the only reality the past and future has Now). It never rests... well, it does, when you’re asleep, if it lets you fall asleep.

Whenever you feel unpretty, "You must focus on the presence inside of you. Take a moment and sit still. Focus on feeling the life presence inside you. As you focus on the presence within, it will begin to reveal itself to you. It is a feeling of pure love and bliss, and it is perfection. That presence is the perfection of you. That presence is the real YOU. As you focus on that presence, as you feel love, and praise that presence, you will feel yourself fully, quite possibly for the first time in your life.
