Having a Rough Day? Try This.

Leave a ❤️in the comments if you’re thankful for the small (in my case!) things!

Stay aware of inner Love for the rest of the night! It’s ever-present, and always accessible, even when anger, fear, or anxiety have come to visit. Your job as Consciousness isn’t to stop the ‘negative’ feels, or change them into ‘positive’ ones, but to introduce even 1% of this divine, inherent Love into every situation.

Meditation is a powerful thing. Just look at all of the successful and high profile individuals who love it. Can we say that they got to where they are thanks to meditation alone? No, but it probably contributed quite a bit. Meditation can bust feelings of self-doubt, at the core of your being. They can help you think clearly. They can help you better understand what it is that you want. They can give you more mental energy to accomplish your goals, while also instilling the patience it might take to get there. 1 Year Later: What Kenneka Jenkins’ Death Taught Me About Drinking And Friendship

Kenneka Jenkins
By Brenda Alexander
It’s been a year since the tragic death of Kenneka Jenkins, the Chicago teen whose body was found in a hotel freezer after a night of partying gone wrong. Her case attracted national attention, protests and conspiracy theories, but was ultimately ruled accidental- she got intoxicated at a hotel party, wandered away from her friends and stumbled into a freezer she was unable to escape. When I initially heard the news of her disappearance and subsequent death, I was saddened. When I saw the actual video of her wandering alone, visibly under the influence of substances, I was mortified. That image has remained a constant memory in my mind and a warning of what drinking with people who may not have your best interest at heart could lead too.
