 by Sabrina Perkins of SeriouslyNatural.org

If you’re someone who dreads the idea of wash day because of the hours you spend detangling, you’re not alone. In fact, as I’m writing this I’m cringing at the thought that I actually used to spend close to an hour and a half finger detangling my hair before wash day. While that may be because I rocked a twistout a couple of days too long or forgot to put on my bonnet before I went to sleep, I still wondered what I could possibly do in order to make this detangling process a little easier.

Now, I’m not one to go out and just buy a detangling product, because I honestly feel like its just watered down conditioner, so I went to the internet and found 4 really interesting detangling hacks to try out.

Top 10 Ingredients that Stimulate Hair Growth

When there are issues with getting your hair to grow, it’s important to rectify the situation both internally and externally. A number of factors contribute to reduced hair growth, from your scalp being too dirty or your pores being blocked from build-up.

It is true that nothing but time can make your hair grow, but there may be ways to help stimulate hair growth. Check out these options to give your curls extra encouragement.

1. Peppermint Oil
With a fresh aroma, this strongly concentrated oil must be diluted before applying the scalp. It penetrates the scalp and stimulates the hair follicle, allowing for more oxygen production that gives your curls the green light to grow.

DIY Ayurvedic Conditioner for Natural Hair Growth

by Emilia Obiekea of AdoreBotanicals.com

I enjoy making and creating products when I have free time. Ayurvedic herbs are wonderful for the hair and skin.

"According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, Ayurveda is considered one of the oldest healing sciences that have a holistic approach to health. It is designed to help people live a long, healthy, and well-balanced life. It has been practiced in India for at least 5,000 years. It has recently become popular again in western cultures and is used to treat illnesses and maintain balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through proper eating, drinking, and lifestyle.  Our hair, which is a vital parameter of external beauty, can also benefit from Ayurvedic treatments to maintain its health and look beautiful. These time-tested herbal hair care remedies have been the backbones behind the healthy and long hair of Indian women. Whether dealing with scalp problems, nourishing the hair follicles, or trying to steer clear of sulfates, parabens, or ingredients you cannot pronounce, Ayurveda can bring health and beauty to your tresses."
I am sharing my own recipe for a home pre-poo/conditioning treatment that encourages healthy hair growth.
