Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo

By January 27th, 20215 Comments

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo This is my fave shampoo…for now. I’ve been using it for several months now, and I’m pretty impressed. Since I regularly use a conditioner that contains Amodimethicone (DevaCare One C…my BOO!!), and my favorite heavy butter, Shea, I’m overly conscious of build-up. Remember, if you’re not using products that contain silicones (ingredients ending in -one, -xane, -ane), you don’t have to be as concerned about shampooing…but if you do, using cones without shampooing, can mean the death of your hair. Silicones are not bad in and of themselves, but they have to be removed, and shampoos with Sulfates or Cocamidopropyl Betaine (the milder of the two, and the only I use), is really the only way.

Ladies who abide by the Curly Girl regimen (check out my Jargon article for a description), avoid sulfates, and thus cones. Shampoos containing sulfates dry your hair out over time, which is where the cone avoidance derives from- if you don’t use cones, you don’t need to shampoo. I’m a modified CG’er. I love my DevaCare One C.

This shampoo gives you that tingly clean feel…like Noxzema. It clarifies without stripping and the ingredient line up is stellar. It washes away the butters/oils/and cones that I use from day to day. I lather up with Triple Tea Treat once every two weeks, and immediately follow with Pantene Relaxed and Natural Deep Conditioning Mask. The price is pretty decent (~$8), and you can purchase on the ground from Target, Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, or other natural health food stores.

Shampoo should clean hair. Really good shampoo should make you tingle from head to toe. Glad I found this. I just bought the conditioner for $1 at Wal-Mart yesterday! I hope it works just as well as the shampoo.

This is one of my favorite shampoos! It doesn’t dry my hair out like most shampoos. Definitely a keeper.
