-How long have you been natural?
10yrs
-What is your regimen?
I co-wash my hair everyday with Pantene Conditioner. On Sundays, I apply a homemade hair mask made from bananas, coconut milk, honey, coconut oil and molasses. I let this mask sit on my hair for about 2hrs. I then rinse, shampoo hair thoroughly with Creme of Nature detangling shampoo, and clarify with a baking soda/water mix. On damp hair I then apply Pantene leave-in conditioner and my EVOO/coconut oil blend and massage my scalp for about 5min. I normally wear my hair in buns or twist hairstyles. On the week that my hair is in twists, I don’t co-wash, but I spritz my hair daily with a rosemary/sage water mix. I also henna once every 6-8wks.
-What is the one thing you’d tell a newbie to help her on her journey?
Be willing to try new things in order to see how your hair responds. Set goals that are attainable, in order to keep yourself motivated.
-How do you maintain length?
I truly believe that wearing my hair in twists and bun-type styles has helped me to gain and retain length.
-What’s the best thing about being naturally glamorous?!
