This is my second consistent week of a Sunday deep treat with heat (haha, that kinda rhymes)!
Anyone else?! If so, what are you using?
Today I’ll be using a mix of Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose and Jane Carter’s Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner. It has a bit of protein in it (toward the bottom of the ingredient list), but for whatever reason, my hair is really loving the moisture, and slip. I used this last week as well and my hair felt softer and stronger afterward. I’ll do a full review on this one soon. The Nutrient Replenishing conditioner was included in my box of free goodies from the Jane Carter Solution to review! Like the Nourish and Shine, I promptly went out to Vitamin Shoppe and purchased a larger size. Very impressed.
I hope to do another video this week on my nightly routine (moisture, preserving the style, etc.). I’ve received several requests for an explanation, so I’ll just show ya!
Later Gators,
Nik
I missed last sunday because I was out and about entertaining out of town guests who were visiting for the week, but I’m back on it today. Used my Miss Jessie’s Rapid Recovery Treatment. My hair has thanked me for it!
I’m trying to DT every Sunday as well. This will be my second week in a row. I used Olive Oil Deep Conditioner. I put it on at around 1 and rinsed it out around 7. My hair felt so soft! I’m a big fan of the DT. Now I just have to figure out how to add some protein to my regimen.
I'm doing my DT today with Pantene R&N Deep Conditioning Mask, but I have some AOHSR that I haven't tried yet… we'll see… I try to this 2 a week and my dorm mates think its hilarious with my hood dryer and curlformers (predominately white school)… but who's cares as long as hair is cute ^_^
Hey Nik,
I pamper my hair on Saturdays. This week I used Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor Conditioner. I like to alternate my conditioners: one week moisture, next week protein/moisture. Alternating your conditioners will help keep your hair in proper balance.
Ladies please remember: When using protein conditioners ALWAYS follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner. Moisture treatments help build hair’s resilience and prevent breakage. If protein is not balanced with moisture, it can lead to breakage.
I used the AO HSR and AO White Camellia. Didn’t notice any difference using the two but it left my hair really soft.
Hi Nikki,
I did a aphogee treatment today and now I’m DTing I’ll let you the results later.
I’m DT’g too. I started around 9:00 this morning using Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose. I have a plastic cap on with a skull cap on top. I will probably rinse around 9:00 tonight.
