Hair Tip of the Day

By January 27th, 2021One Comment

Special occassion? Going out? Want a slightly stretched, fluffier Wash & Go, that hangs oh so right?

I used to stretch my roots on occassion to achieve a fuller look. This Hair Tip definitely works, but please use it sparingly. A blow fryer should not become a staple of your arsenal!

After my Wash & Go was fully dry (this is very important), I’d grab chunks of hair and blast the roots (with warm air) with a diffuser or air concentrator attachment. See step 8 of this Miss Jessie’s Tutorial for a visual.
I’d do this until most of the hair was stretched…taking about 5 minutes total. The end result was a bigger, fluffier curly fro that would last until humidity hit it, or it got wet 😀

Later Gators,
Nik

I may have to try this. I have started lightly flat ironing my dry wash and go, not just from the almost root down to the almost edge…the curls remain, but just lightly stretched…I do this once in a week, and let the wash and go morph from there…either method allows for some heat stretching while maintaining health and texture….
