-How long have you been natural?
I have BCed at least 5 times over the past 12 years ??? (dang I’m old) due to color damage, chemical damage, or boredom. The good thing is that I always come back home!
-What is your regimen?
That’s probably why I’ve BCed so many times because honestly I don’t have one. I’m a huge fan of hats, braids, and wild free form fros. I do like to moisturize regardless of the style with [Set it Free, Right On Instant Moisturizer (I believe it’s the glycerine my hair likes, so my aim is to try a homeade glycerin concocotion) and natural hair oils and butters].
-What is the one thing you’d tell a newbie to help her on her journey?
Just because you’re natural does not mean its going to be easy. The only person I know with an easy hair care routine is one of my close friends who has a fabulous Caesar barber cut. However, any natural hair style is so worth the time and effort; it’s the only way to have the best of both worlds, and the look is gorgeous. Oh yes, and stay posted to nc.com and cn.com!
-How do you maintain length?
I never have gotten past shoulder length since becoming natural due to my experimentation and ADD, however my hair grows best with regular co-washing (once a week), no manipulation styles (for me two-strand twists, braids or twists extensions).
-What’s the best thing about being naturally glamorous?!
The vibe of a natural girl is so effortless (just the vibe), vibrant, and spirited. I feel at my best and most confident when I’m rocking a big fabulous fro.

the purple and white bottle at the beauty supply store..i think it’s part of the curl line. the sytlist who cut my hair recommended it and it keeps my hair soft..

Wow, your hair is really beautiful! I can definitely identify with you, lol I have been natural for almost two years and I still haven’t figured out a routine. I know what oils work best and that shea butter is great but I haven’t found my no-brainer shampoo and conditioner combo…lol
