This fantastic recipe for Clay Hair Conditioner was submitted by one of our readers.
I’d like to share a clay recipe that I’ve been using to deep condition my hair.. I have long hair and this concoction not only conditions amazingly well, it also seems to make the hair stronger.
I mix together:
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of almond oil
1 tablespoon of castor oil
1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil
1 tablespoon of Emu oil (optional)
4 tablespoons of organic cold pressed coconut oil.
I warm the oils in the microwave for 15 – 20 seconds so they’re warm, not hot. Then, I mix in a few tablespoons of hydrated Living Clay™ clay and blend it all together into a thick paste. I apply it evenly to the hair and scalp and leave it on for about an hour, then shampoo & rinse in the shower.
I’m sure this recipe could also be made using a different variety of oils, even just one oil…I like to use a variety of oils since I always have them on hand.
Blessings & Peace,
Georgene
Thanks so much for this. I was just telling myself that I wanted to try it this weekend. I already had the clay and use it as a skin mask. 🙂
do you think this will make a good moisturizing conditioner after henna treatments?
