So, last night I looked like Swamp Thing because…….I was covered in BENTONITE CLAY!!!! It’s a mud treatment known for its highly absorptive properties, and its ability to draw out toxins, pollutants, and build-up from the hair, revealing lustrous and voluminous tresses. We’ll call it a deep clarifying treatment that doesn’t strip the hair of its natural oils. Several of you have emailed recently with requests to try this magical clay. I’m happy I did! My skin and hair feel ridiculously marvelous! I’ve grown accustomed to the initially dry results of my henna treatments, so I thought this mud treatment would yield similar results. To my surprise, my hair was clean but AMAZINGLY SOFT! Like, a soft that I’ve never experienced before. I’ll do a full review tomorrow…but let’s just say, you need to take a trip up to your local Whole Foods or Vitamin Shoppe. You’ll thank me later, trust me. I slept on this for wayyyy too long.
Oh, the first responder (12 minutes from my initial post!), and thus winner of this challenge is….
Theoretically, I should be sending you a sample of Bentonite Clay, but sending an ambigous, unlabeled baggie of gray/white powder through the postal system, may throw up a few red flags… So, I’ll let you choose between a sample of Miss Jessie’s Curly Butter Creme or a sample of Jane Carter’s Condition & Sculpt. Shoot me an email with your choice and your address, and I’ll drop your new hair goodie in the mail!
Later Gators,
Nik
Hey Nikki,
Do you know if bentonite clay is the same as montmorillonite clay?
g
Niiki I think this would be a GREAT idea for you to use as one of your give-aways that you throw a contest for your readers….(below) and post all the pics (just a thought)
The website features recipes, a pretty eyes contest, B-12 report, toner, oils, and other products. The pretty eyes contest is where you send in a photo of yourself wearing the green clay mask and a winner for prettiest eyes in chosen. You can also buy the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay directly from the website. Their website is Aztec-Secret.com.
..oh I thought the henna treatments made your hair soft…I just purchase 100grams of henna to do my first treatment. My hair is already dry..I must of didn’t or misread that part in your review…and on the nc.com thread about henna. aww man..don’t want to use henna if it makes your hair dry…but anyway..I can’t wait to read you review on the bentonite clay to know how it was applied and all…….you hair came out soft..huh..ummm….have to try it…
Do keep us posted on the results! I postponed my henna treatment in light of all the great stuff I’ve heard about bentonite clay, so I’m eager to know a tad more about long term results etc.
Thanks!!
I am going to have to try that clay.
aww man! I wanted to win! I was going to say Amla Powder tho
