Even More Lustrasilk Results…

By January 27th, 20219 Comments
Hi Nikki,
I thought I would share my lustrasilk results since I LOVE it so much! Since I am in love with curlynikki’s hair I always try to mimic her hair styles, so of course I found myself to the nearest beauty supply. I live in Canada so I actually paid 4.99 for my jar of Lustrasilk but that is still a steal to me!
I co-washed with hello hydration and saturated my hair with Lustrasilk shea and mango conditioner (and just a tiny bit of deva care one). I sealed my ends with Shea butter and twisted my hair. My hair is ridiculously soft (which is unheard of for my hair) and so shiny! I had some serious hand in hair syndrome today. Lustrasilk, I love you and you will be my new staple!!!
I have attached some pictures of my twistout!
Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom with us all!

It shouldn't matter how small your twists are. as long as you clip the roots of your hair. Just don't make no less than 10 twists.

    Hi Curly Trini,

Your results are gorgeous! Like you, I admire Curly Nikki's beautiful hair and am always willing to try her recommendations. Can you let me know where you found the Lustrasilk in Canada? Oh, do you have an album/blog? I think I just found another hair idol!

Curly Nikki, I have been following your blog since its inception, keep up the excellent work!

Thank you all for your kind words!! Keeps me motivated.

I did two strand twist and put curlers on the end (I basically copied CurlyNikki’s how to video on twist n’ curl!)

Lteefaw: I actually did my first henna treatment this weekend so these were taken before I did henna.

Anonymous: you can shoot me a quick e-mail to curlytrini@gmail.com so I can get your email address and next time I wash my hair I will send you pics of my hair wet. But I can tell you that my hair is very, very similar to curlynikki’s, if that helps you at all!

CurlyTrini, your hair looks great! Can you show or tell me what your hair looks like before you wash/condition it? I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has a more afro/spongy hair type that also gets these smooth results. I am having some issues 🙁

your twist and curl is very pretty and defined. did you do two strand twists or flat twists?

This twist and curl is really pretty and so defined. Did you do two strand twists or a flat twist out?

Curlytrini your hair looks great. And your ends are silky move. Do you henna your hair?

I just finished twisting my hair using the Lustrasilk Shea butter. My twist were soft but they looked very very dull (not dry just dull). It was like the Lustrsilk sucked all the shine out of my hair. But I was able to restore my shine with castor seed oil.

For under $3 this product isn’t bad. My curls are soft and well defined. I plan on trying this product out again in few days but next time I’ll add shea butter before I twist and I’ll do smaller twist

Word of caution to those with short hair 4a be sure to do your twist small. Otherwise your twist might not hold. And I think this product works best on twist out. It didn’t give my enough hold to rock my twist for the rest of the week.
