Happy almost Friday…almost, lol 🙂
As promised, here’s my review of Herbal Essence’s Hello Hydration. It’s been my favorite co-wash conditioner for quite some time, but now it’s quickly rising to the ranks of one of my fav “styling conditioners”! Why did I wait so long to try it as a leave-in?! Probably the nuclear blue color…
It has twice the slip of Devacare One Condition, and packs a decent moisture punch. More slip means easier manipulation, which reduces the amount of broken and shed hairs during the styling process. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most hold, I’d give it a 3…Deva gets a 5. Bottom line, I’m LOVING IT…and like Lustrasilk, I’m loving the price too! The only draw back is that it seems to take a bit longer to dry. Both times I used it to Twist-n-Curl, my hair was still damp in the morning. Below, you’ll find pics of my hair today (2nd day hair…styled on Sunday night). Last night, I slept with it out on my satin pillow case.I used Hello Hydration and Deva Set it Free (on the ends) to style. On Monday night, I applied Shea Butter to the ends.

Have you used HE as a leave-in? What are your thoughts??
Later Gators,
Nik
Just started using this conditioner and it is amazing!!!

I get the BIG bottle of HH from Wal-Mart and as you can see in my Fotki, it is a key ingredient in my deep conditioner as well as in both my heavy and light leave-in conditioners. And this is in addition to using it as my primary co-wash conditioner.
Sign of the times: There are VO5 conditioners that probably work just as well and are cheaper but HH is my splurge, lol.
Did you use HE solo and not with the JC treatment you usually use with the OneC?
i just loooove your hair. i wish that’s all you did with this website — post photos of your fabulous hair. that’s my favorite part!!!
Your hair looks FAB!!! Loving it…
Greetings,
Yep i use it as a leave in although my fav. is Pantene Relaxed and Natural. Still the HH is a close second!
BTW my hair in NEVER dry in the morning. i may have to invest in a bonnet type dryer just so i can stop wearing my twists for 2 days prior to taking them out…lol
it made my hair hard… so i added some sunflower oil which has helped! i use it on everybodys hair… my 3 daughters and youngest son. it is so much easier to comb… i got to many curly tops in this family!! but i am loving it now!
Thanks ladies 🙂 It was quite a bit shrinkier, and more shirley temple…I likey! It’s a bit frizzier on Day 3 than I’d like, but it’s okay. It’s a keeper 🙂
I have used it as a leave in, love the softness it gives my hair, but it takes rather long to dry and my hair is thick enough for that to be annoying sometimes.
I love HH, but I think Herbal Essences Seductively Straight does an even better job, you should try it… and it smells amazing!
I use HH and it surprised me. It was the first conditioner I tried as a leave-in. I assumed it didn’t really work (I think from lack of experience lol) but when I switched to Giovanni’s leave in I noticed a huge difference. I definitely like the HH better. When I used the Giovanni’s my hair was more crispy and not as soft. Giovanni’s leave-in works great for my daughter’s hair, but HH works better for me.
I’ve been sleeping on Hello Hydration…I need to step my hair game up (smh) and get it this week. I really love the simplicity of the style you have here CurlyNikki; this here is what makes you…you 🙂
What a ca-winky-dink! I just used HH as a leave in with my WnG. The HH has amazing slip but I agree with you on the “hold” rating.
Your TnC does look different…but still AMAZING!
Hello Hydration is my regular leave it, I love it.
I’m going to have to try that product. I really like leave-ins for both myself and my daughter especially. Her hair is really curly, and get fuzzy outside usually. It does her ends good.
Very beautiful. This TNC looks different though. Not sure what it is. It’s cute too!
The HH seems to hold your curls differently than the DevaCare One C. The corkscrew curls are so cute!
