My Experience: I used to use this when I was a Wash&Go girl with moderate success. Like the label states, it most certainly added shine, crazy definition, and a touch of moisture to my wavy curls. The biggest mistake I made while experimenting with Curl Keeper, was trying to use it alone. In order to prevent the crunchies and keep your hair properly moisturized, you need to use a leave-in under this– but be careful, some leave-ins don’t play well with it. Like other ‘stylers’, I experienced white flakes when I got heavy handed…so remember that a little goes a long way.
I recently re-visited Curl Keeper, using it over Totally Twisted, with pretty good results. I have a touch more hold without it looking wet, greasy, or crunchy. I didn’t notice anymore frizz control or humidity protection. My hair still poofed out a bit…but I like it like that 😉 The consistency is literally like water which makes it interesting to apply. It smells weird, and I believe someone on NC.com hit it on the head when they likened it to old lipstick!
Bottom Line: Excellent product, and definitely worth a try if you’re fighting with the humidity. I’m not sure if it’s worth re-purchasing for me because my moisturized hair does pretty well in the humidity already. It was voted Best of the Best on NaturallyCurly.com, so lots of folks like it…share your experiences below!

Used it for several years, under a gel. I love it but live in a dry climate. Last year I wen to a humid city of vacation and spent 3 1/2 hour dancing at a concert. I was dripping sweat and it was very humid in the arena. For the first time EVER my hair did NOT frizz and just got a bit of a tighter curl. My hair looked beautiful, although I can's say much for my runny makeup and dripping body. Ha. I love Curl Keeper and will use it until they stop making it.
