Today is the second of many ‘Show & Tell’ Fierce Fridays! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them.

Attached is a picture of me in one of my fav styles during the summer, My braided roots wash n go. I left in some HH Totally Twisted to give the curls some definition. I love your Show and Tell pic btw!

Here I am hanging out with my friend LaNelle at 219 West in Austin, Texas before going to see Jon B & Carl Thomas in concert!

This is my 3rd attempt at a frohawk… was really messy this day but I still loved it!!!!

Kasey and Wilona:
Salutations Nikki!
Its Kasey and Wilona (lolol) again and we were in New Orleans sweating like we were oppressed! Lol! My bantu knot out held up well in the sweltering conditions and everyone else was worried about their hair! Lol! Take that permies!
Hugs and big fro love!

I had to get in on the fun too! This is my hair today, the same bun from Monday…just higher. I’m on my way to the store 😉

Later Gators,

The first picture is of me and 2 of my friends (Dawn, Christy, and me from left to right) from last weekend. We are good friends who continue to motivate each other to have healthy natural hair. I would like to encourage other ladies who are new to the journey or transitioning to find a sister friend that they can talk to and share hair stories. It has made a tremendous difference for me. Because we all ‘BC’d’ within months of each other in 2008 we are SISTAs for life. This journey has hanged each of us, and broughtus closer. Its been wonderful. I love these ladies. Just thought I’d share our fabulous Saturday with the ladies of CN, as you’ll see from the picture we participated in the Dallas Tx Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.

This is my fav pic of me at Virginia Beach this summer. I loved rocking my fro on the beach!!! I was all natural for 5 months at that point. I love your site and check it everyday. I’m also working my way to becoming a licensed Psychologist just like you, so you’re an inspiration. 🙂

I have a twist-out from wet twists, the left end (Erin) has twists done on dry hair, the middle (Ariel) has cornrows into a bun, and on the right (Iman) has dry twists in the front, and a bun on the top. This pic was taken before my mother’s funeral August 2009, the yellow flowers are in memory of her.

I used one of my favorite transitioning styles which is a roller set with the blue perm rods…I love it…it last for days and there is never a bad hair day…

I took this at a party I attended recently. My fro is a little bigger now, but I love this pic!

Your site just keeps getting better and better! My hair has grown so much since you featured my transitioning story in July!

Hi Nikki,
This was @ a concert this past Friday night, 10/16/09. Al B Sure was very nice! He kept staring and said I looked like family, it could’ve been my hair though, lol, it was in a Twist- N-Curl. I deep conditioned with Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose and co-washed with Aussie Moist and used HETT as my rinse out (a lot of conditioner I know) and to set the style, I used Coconut Oil and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine leave-in. I used bobby pins to disguise my center part.

**Don’t forget to submit your Show&Tell pictures for next Friday! Use Show&Tell as the subject line!
