Hi Nikki,
So now that my TWA is growing out, I’ve been having the case of the “Morning After TWA” blues. You know…when you wake up in the morning and you have a lopsided afro and the back of your hair has been smushed to your scalp, lol!
In the warmer months, I thought I would have to wet it again or even co-wash to achieve the ideal shape, but as the cooler months approached, I knew that this wasn’t an option. Now I’ve figured out how to “refresh” my TWA without the use of any water at all! In fact, I use natural ingredients like coconut oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, etc. and the results are amazing– I also avoid catching pneumonia by stepping outside in the cold with a wet head!! Just thought I’d share for all the other natural ladies rocking TWA’s who encounter the same problem!
Love the video, Mae, and thanks for the tips:)
Great advice!!! Transitioning at the moment. Cutting it all off in February!!! Your tips are very helpful!! Thanks
I always use this oil method for my hair 🙂 before i thought i'd have to wet it everyday but then i experimented with coconut, jojoba, olive and and found that castor oil (the palma christi)gets my hair pulled out very well, it really makes hair bigger! and you have the satisfaction that your hair is being moisturized naturally which makes big difference 🙂
Great video Mae! Where do you find your headbands?
beautiful hair, beautiful woman

Great vid! You and your hair are a great depiction of natural beauty Mae! I know it seems inevitable but I would love to see something like this on actual television! One day 🙂

She is too cute and loved the video! Great advice!
Loved the vid. She is gorgeous & so is her hair!
Thanks for posting this! I live in Florida so it's definitely not winter cold here (lol), but the temps have dropped and getting in the shower to re-wet my whole head is no longer and option… especially since all that water likes to hide in my hair and drip out at the wrong time lol. (and since my hair is no longer as short as it used to be.)
LOVE IT!!!! i normally have to put a lil water oil and conditioner to get mine back to life again. this time imma try it without water and see the results. thanks for posting this and your vid was great
heey thats a good idea for my micro mini twa! btw, my 2 yr old loves the "thumbs up" move, lol.
