Nikki,
I just want to say thanks for all the hair advice you have given! As a teen still in high school, it is challenging to find supporters for natural hair when most black girls have always reached out to extensions and relaxers to “fix” their hair. I decided to use my inspirations in my Advanced Placement Art class, to represent the natural hair community. I just wanted to share my drawing with the CurlyNikki.com community to show that all your hard work has changed the perspectives of beauty for many women.
Thank you!
Jolianne

Now that’s some God given talent!!! Excellent work Jolianne 😀 What do you guys think?!
This is absolutely beautiful! I respect you and am so happy that you have found support through this website. You are an inspiration for other young women.
I want to commend Jolianne for being a young and very talented woman who is proud of her natural beauty. It takes someone special to go through high school with natural hair, especially when every one around you is saying black is beautiful = hair extensions and relaxers. I know that's how it was at my high school and I really couldn't imagine going through my transition while I was still in high school. So to see a young lady doing that is tremendous. Big ups! And keep up the art work!!
I am so proud of you! I don't know you yet it's important you know how refreshing it is to see a young sister expressing herself in such a beautiful way. All the best in everything you do. I mean that with all my heart.
I will buy that drawing and put it on my wall for real…..that is soooo beautiful!! You are soooooooooooooooooooooo BLESSSSSSS!
Beautiful!
Wow! Simply breathtaking!
Ms. Jolianne, you are very talented in more ways than one. Your artwork is beautiful, but to be as young as you are, you are very insightful. Stay true to yourself young woman!
You are truly talented! Keep it up! Stay inspired!
I'm in high school too and I'm all natural. I attend an arts high school, Im a dance major, so I can't draw but my goodness I would love to go to school and see one of the art majors with such a beautiful painting of a beautifully textured woman. Great job, keep doing what you do. Thank you!!

Hey guys! It's Jolianne! THANK you for all the positive feedback. I feel truly blessed by being able to share my ideas with CN community. The picture is supposed to be symbolic of the Mona Lisa, since I see beauty in every black woman. I hope to set up an online store for all my works that involve women of color, so please check my blog soon for any updates!
