Aubrey Organics White Camellia Review

By January 27th, 202116 Comments
Check out Smartblackchic’s review of Aubrey Organic’s Whie Camelia Review!

This happens to be one of my fav DTs. It has a lighter consistency (and more slip) than Honey Suckle Rose, but just as much moisture. Have you tried it? If so, what has your experience been?

Hmm interesting I'll try it :), I always buy HSR

I love the WC. I just recently bought it from Whole Foods and I too have fine hair. I use it has a DC, and it makes my hair silky soft. Love, love, love it!

Just chiming in to say that I love the WC conditioner. It works fabulously on my 4B textured hair by providing a sort of "oily moisture" which in turn gives my hair the slip that it needs (I only use it on wet hair) to aid in styling. I haven't tried the HR so I can't comment.

What is the texture of your hair? Is it 4a/b? Thx.

Am I allowed to comment if I'm relaxed? *blush* I luuurve this conditioner. I thought HSR was the holy grail but since I tried this, I find myself reaching for it more and more. My hair is so soft and plump and moisturised after I use it. So happy I tried it. And yeah, it must be a fine hair thing cos I have fine hair too 😉

My hair does NOT like this conditioner. I used it for a cowash, and my hair barely had any slip and felt producty when I washed it out. :o( I left it at my mom's for her to try, lol.

I think it must be a fine hair thing as I have pretty coarse hair and tried it once because Whole Foods (and it seemed every other store in NYC) was out of HSR and I was desperate. My hair didn't like it at all. It really didn't feel moisturised, actually felt quite brittle in fact, and I wasn't too fond of the smell.

But then that might have been because I used it after a protein treatment. Who knows. I have used it since but only ever mixed with HSR and a bit of melted Shea butter.

I thought it was just me! I was following everyone else on the HSR train but a few months back I found a 3/4 full bottle of WC in the back under my sink and gave it a try as a DC. I was timid at first only using a little with HSR over the top. I instantly noticed how much more moist and curly my hair was after DC. Needless to say, I used more WC the next time and I was sold. My hair likes this MUCH better than HSR. My only problem is that it is tough to get 'on the ground'. i just bought a bottle a few days ago which I plan to use this week. I have to remember to order this. WC over HSR, hands down!! Ladies, is this a fine hair thing perhaps?

Thanks MahoganyCurls! You're awesomeee. I think I prefer White Camellia over HSR.

The HSR fragrance was too strong and sweet for me. And WC agrees with me much much more. I also think it's a great conditioner for the winter. In the summer I see myself switching to AO's Island Nautrals to lighten up with the humidity. I also prefer it to HSR. To each her own 🙂

This is what I use to DC and I love it. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Great video hun! Love the details!!!

I actually prefer the White Camilla over the HoneySuckle Rose. It makes my hair soft and as a Deep Conditioner is wonderful and it really speaks to the brittleness of my hair more so than the Honeysuckle Rose. Put it this way, when my friend accidentally grabbed my bottle of HSR thinking it was hers, it was no love lost cause I stopped using it the moment White Camilla came into my life.

The scent is really strong on this one. I did the dry hair deep conditioning session first. It was good. However, I did not find the slip all that impressive, but maybe that was my experience because I started with dry hair. WC was my first AO product, because the store didn't have HR. After I tried Honesuckle Rose on wet hair I loved it so much I never went back to White Camellia. (Still have half a bottle.) But I think I do need to try WC on wet hair, too.

Me and the scent of this one did not get along. My hair also isn't into oils. And I eventually turned out to be allergic to something in it so WC gets no love from me.

I prefer this conditioner over the HoneySuckle Rose mainly because of the slip/detangling power and it helps smooth my hair better! I love it!
