CN: How long have you been natural?
I’ve been natural for a year and one month. I BC’d on Dec. 8th 2008 after 7 months of transitioning.
CN: What is your current regimen?
I don’t really have a regimen….but this winter I have been co-washing once or twice a week with Suave Coconut Naturals and then 2 strand twisting my hair and leaving the twists in for about 3 or 4 days and then wearing a twist out for the rest of the week.
CN: How do you maintain length? Moisture?
To maintain moisture I co-wash at least once a week and apply Kinky Curly Leave In and then I apply Qhemet Amla & Olive Heavy Cream and then seal my ends with Castor oil. These 3 products used in this exact order have tremendously helped me to retain moisture throughout the winter.
CN: How do you protect your curls a night?
I have a satin pillowcase that keeps my curls protected at night.
CN: What would you tell a new natural or transitioning diva?
As long as you love your hair try to not let the negative opinions and comments of others make you feel bad about transitioning to natural hair or having natural hair. The only opinion that matters is yours.
CN: What’s the best thing about being naturally glamorous?
Not being afraid of the rain, sleet, or snow. Lol. I love having natural hair because I always wanted big hair and now I have it.

WORK!!!!!!! I love the hair!
Gorgeous woman…Gorgeous hair, keep inspiring
I love our hair (the whole look really). I cut my hair in January but I kept cutting it again every 2 month or so. I am finally letting it grow out, I can't wait to have "big" hair!
I have been natural for almost a year (August)..My length is not as long as anyone that has been natural that long. I didn't transition…i just cut it off. At first, my hair was growing very fast, then it seem like it stop..did you go through that? Did I make a mistake when I BC'ed first?
Flawless:) I think that's what you hair is Flawless…..I really like your style:) Look forward to learning and sharing!
Love, love, love the hair.
Your hair is classy and sassy! 🙂
*dyslexic…(shakes left fist at Nik for not having spell check while sipping wine with right hand)
ummm yea so apparently I'm dylexic… Anon clearly posted at 12:42…. girl don't write me off just yet, I may have issues but I know some hurr!! LOL kidding
To Anon @ 12:54..
I've been experimenting with flat twist-outs for the past 2 weeks and I love it. First of all, comb your hair chile… Dry or not dry there is no rule that says otherwise. Start at the ends and gently work your way up. I use a Goodie paddle brush that has boar and plastic bristles. It works like a dream. I will say this though, I detangle before I flat twist. It's easier to section the hair and so forth. I section into 4s (your mama used to do this when you were a wee girl I'm sure) and detangle. Sometimes it's wet sometimes its not. … You know what, before I write a book on this post that's supposed to be giving props to Ms Flawless with her bad self, I'll just do a review and shoot it to Nik. She claims I'm overdue ;-p
Beautiful! Loving your overall style and our winter reggies are pretty much the same =)
