Fierce Fridays are back by popular demand! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
Here is shot of my girls and I at a party this past Saturday night! We were looking extra fabulous and our hair was extra fierce! My chica (Tikisa) to my left is rocking a super cute twistout puff. The chica to my right (Heather) has a darling side twistout puff! I, in the middle, rocked a juicy, funky twistout! Thanks for bringing “Fierce Friday” back in style!
My hair for my 22nd birthday. Bantu Knot out on flat ironed hair!
This is a picture of me in the club when I went to Texas to visit my cousin. This was the result of a quick twist out I did earlier that day.
My first attempt at a twist-n-curl. I was going to church, it was fierce.
YYYAAAYYY, I’m so glad fierce Friday’s are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my current favorite style, 2 strand twists. My mom and I were shopping in Party City and I got bored and started snapping with my phone. And whaddoyano….I got a good pic!!!!!
I was in the Macy’s shoe department. (LOL) This style was a braided/coiled Mohawk. Braided on the sides the rest is finger coiled.
This is a picture of me at work. I never like the pictures that I take on my cell and this one just so happened to turn out great. My hair is in a wash and go that I pinned up on one side with a hair clip that I purchased from Hotdogsandpoodles.com!
Here’s a picture of me rocking a two day old twist out and doing my Blue Steel (Zoolander) face, on my way to my brothers DJing gig in NY.
Kisha L. & Kisha B. at work – fabulously natural every day.
Kisha L. (on left)– two strand twist out w/ rod set. I wore small two strand twists for a few days, and then last night, dampened the hair with water and rod set overnight. In the morning, I removed the rods and did a twist out.
Kisha B. (on right)– flat twist out. I shampooed using Organix (nonsulfate) and conditioned with Yes to Cucumbers (per Jcanalena79 suggestion). I used Jane Carter Leave In, my own herbal oil mixture, and Curly Pudding to flat twist. In the morning I untwisted with Carol’s Daughter Hair Mimosa.
