Fierce Fridays are back by popular demand! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:

Gabby is headed to a football game. Her hair is in a simple puff with a french braid in the front. She has type 4 hair, which sucks up oil and water. Her hair loves castor oil and I use the aloe spritzer so her curls have an extra pop to them.Show and Tell- Fierce Fridays

Last week I had the pleasure of interviewing soul singer Jesse Boykins III after his first show here in the UK. I’m an up and coming singer so it was very inspiring to speak with him and he was soooo passionate and down to earth. Here I am with JB3 after out interview in the park – I’m rocking a few-days-old twist out…and as you can see, Jesse boasts a beautiful head of natural hair himself! He took out his signature braids and wore his hair out for his show and our interview!
I actually asked him how he grew his hair so long (at the request of a girlfriend who wanted to know), and he said his secret is getting his hair done in 2 french braids when he’s not performing….to give his hair a rest!

So, this is me at work, and I think this twist out is like five days old. I had worn my hair in twists (pinned-up) for about five days. I moisturize my ends every night and roll them on slim flexi rods.

I was at my baby shower! I had a braid out which puffed badly because of Florida’s humid weather but I still liked it.

This is at a wedding reception this past weekend! I, too, am a “flower fan” so at the last minute, I decided to jazz my look up a little! It was my first time using the Kinky Curly Knot Today and Custard! I think I’m in love! My daughter did 2 strand twists the night before and we took them down right before the wedding, so it was a gamble!

This is a picture of me taking a quick break from working on my Spring ’11 fashion line!
My routine is this: I wash my hair once a week w/ Kera Care Super Reconstructor and Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner. I towel dry my hair to remove excess water and apply Back To Basics conditioner, shea butter & Miss Jessies Curly pudding. I air dry and after it’s dry, I braid up it for the night. I unbraid and fluff in the morning. Every day I re-braid it with sweet almond oil. That’s it! Easy breezy!
My hair is 4a and the size of the curls are that of a #2 pencil or a small marker. Some areas have a small loopy s-curl shape.
