Speaking of TWAs…
CocoEuro a CurlyNikki.com reader and forum member sent me these pics today from Mediatakeout.com:
OMG… so fierce! I always heard that she was natural (under the various lace fronts and weaves), but this cut… very chic! Work it Ms. Jackson 🙂
So what do y’all think?!
The natural hair is harmonious with being free. Allowing the wind to nourish your natural hair, and the love of your life stroke your natural hair feeling no tracks, extensions, weaved-purchased hair. The exotic touch of the natural hair rather long or short is sensuous. Weaves, wigs, and hair pieces have a terrible odor, especially if the owner is not careful to keep the natural hair fresh and conditioned. Walking in the grocery store-all you see is fake hair. Finally, when you see a woman natural wearing and managing her natural God-Given hair; it's refreshing. Some people need to throw on a wig, especially those with a busy life-style, illness, and travel engagements. Long hair is beautiful, but when your hair is natural, it's really beautiful. I would hate to stroke my husband's head and feel tracks, fake hair, or an extension resting on his head. The natural products line to care for hair without the harshness of chemicals is take front stage. I love the natural hair, and I respect the appealing style of added hair. So many women are transformed in a matter of seconds with purchased hair. Janet, the damage from purchased hair is horrible on the natural hair because of all the chemicals in the wigs and ext. With natural nourishing products to manage the natural hair-the beauty of the hair and scalp will replenish. Organic sweet almond, Avocado, fresh lemon juice, coconut oil, pineapple, blackberries, and other natural ingredients to clean, condition, and style the hair is available. People are making money off women desire to be appealing with long thick hair, and the natural scalp and hair is being destroyed. If you take good care of your own hair with a wide tooth comb-benefits will shine. Linda and the Pilot.
Janet looks amazing with short hair! Fierce!
She looks great with short hair!!
i really like it.gosh she resembles MJ so much its almost haunting!
lovin it!!!
"Anyway, I think all the speculation about what "type" of hair she has is kind of pointless. Why do we care so much???"
AMEN!
I think her hair is fabulous, love that some of our black entertainers are big chopping!
Ummm the reference to tight curls on MJ's autopsy doesn't mean much b/c most black people have tight curls relative to non-black folks. Also, not that it matters, but the Jackson kids do have a "looser" curl pattern. Look at Joe Jackson's hair– it's curly.
Anyway, I think all the speculation about what "type" of hair she has is kind of pointless. Why do we care so much???
@ LBell and Anonymous. My bad for the wrong info. thats what i get for listening to rumors lol
I think she looks freakin HOT!!!! Totally Love it!
I think she looks cute but I don't think she's natural.
I love her new haircut! I think she looks FABULOUS!
Im so in love with the boots, I cant even see the hair. The whole look is fly!
Go to theybf.com to see her Janet's cut styled! She is FIERCE!!
I agree with JustTrena. When I had my twa a little gel to slick it back would make my curl pattern look a lot different then it does now that its growing out.
She rocked weave today at the tyler Perry premeir in London. But it looks good here.
Love it!
I don't know if that is Janet's natural hair or not, but I agree with JustTrena that when hair is that short gel can easily weigh it down and give it a more wavy appearance. I know with my own hair, the shorter it is the wavier/curlier it appears when I slather on gel. Regardless, I LOVE IT!!!
It may or may not be completely natural but, I LOVE IT and Janet, too. Go Janet!
It may be her natural hair; it's amazing what a little water and gel can do! Especially on hair that short. Either way, Ms Jackson is a beautiful lady and even if this is a baby step….yeah Janet!!
very cute… hawt
LOVE IT!
I'm A Big Janet Fan, I've Idolized Her As A Child Study Every Dance Move And Watched Everything She Did On TV As A Child. I've Watched Her Hair Like Crazy (Cut My Hair Into The Pleasure Principle Layers). My Girl Has A Chemical In There It's Either A Relaxer That's Not Bone Straight Or A Texturizer, With Some Gel.
The Hair Cut Is So Cute, I Love It On Her….She Seems To Let Go Of The Weaves Every 5-10 Years(Meaning Not Completely Sure All Of The Hair In The First Why Did I Get Married Is All Hers) She Has The Best Stylists Because They Blend Her Hair With The Weave Perfectly, So You Never Know!
Regardless Of How She Wears Her Hair, She Is Fabulous!
@Anonymous 5:28am: Those of us who are old enough to remember the Jackson family back in the day (before the Jheri curl and the weave and the whatever-it-is-Jermaine's-wearing) know that they have what I call "regular black folks' hair." Believe me, if they had the curly stuff naturally we would have seen it long before now.
I wonder sometimes: Am I just one of a diminishing few who actually pay attention to history?
That is not true the Jackson's don't have a kind of loose curl pattern. Read the report from MJ's autopsy report which states his hair was tightly curled. Now the Jackson brothers' off springs have loosely curled hair and that is because their spouses were latino or biracial.
The look is awesome on her – chic and sexy! I doubt that is her natural hair texture, yet she wears it well.
I think that is really her hair texture. The Jackson family has a kind of loose hair pattern. To whoever said that her hair was coarser was probably because her hair got picked the ish out thanks to the 70's lol.
Not trying to hate, but i don't think that she's natural. I think her hair appears to be processed on some level(relaxed or texturized). But kudos to her for wearing it short, carefree, and weavefree. She's just one step away!! Walk into the light Janet!!!
I love her hair…very cute!!!
I think her hair looks great, but I don't think this is her natural texture at all. If you look at reruns of "Good Times" or "Different Strokes" it'll be obvious to you that her natural texture is more coarse. I've even seen archived footage of her as a little girl where her hair was in a big, beautiful puff. Judging by these pics, she definately has chemicals in it.
@Fengie i damaged my hair in the same way from wearing wigs everyday for months- the elastic bands wore away my edges. i used doogro medicated temple treatment and stopped wearing the wigs and my edges came in nicely. i would recommend trying the doogro and lay off the ponytails or wear looser ones. wait until the edges are thicker than do the bc if you still want to
That's how short I want to cut my hair!!!! Go Ms. Jackson!!!!
I like the cut but I don't think it's her natural texture.
i think she looks even better with her hair like this : )
I love her hair, but I also love the fact that she is rocking this look with no earrings, no accessories, hair flowers, or headbands and still looks AMAZING!!!! When I BC'd I was so afraid that I looked like a boy that I never left the house without all of the above. It's a great feeling (and look for that matter) when your number one accessory is CONFIDENCE!!!!
LOVE IT!
I don't know why she didn't do this sooner!!! I L.O.V.E it…ms. jackson if you nasty..
She looks fabulous. OMG! I love it.
I like it!!!!
I love it!
she does look great. I have a question ladies, I was thinking of cutting my hair as short but i have been natural since 1998, when i went natural it was not the thing to do but at the time i graduated from high school and wanted to change my look. anyways my hair is pretty long but i hate the front. It does not curl and becuase of my obsession with ponytails my edges have thinned out a bit. With that said i am crazy about my hair and take care of it well. Any advice about the straglly front and thin edges.
I love it. It really looks good on her.
I love it! Janet wore her own hair in the first why did I get married (in a pony tail). I've seen it a few times, very cute and curly but that style is the hotness. – Poeticlyspkng
Lovin the look and the fierce boots!!!
Now I kind of miss my tom hair style.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Bobbie
Love it!
She looks so lovely!
I think this makes her look a lot younger and more sophisticated.
OMG! I love it! She wears it well! PLEAASE see if you can interview for her!!
BOMB.COM!!!!
If you could get your people to contact her people (lol) and get her to talk about her hair regimen/products she uses, that would be AMAZING!!
I love it!!
I think its cute!
