Hola Chicas,
FYI–
The Henna for Hair forums have a new home! The site is much more interactive, and there is a board dedicated specifically to Relaxed and Natural hair. I hope to see you gals over there!

Hi I would like to know if anyone hair has came out from Henna? I have been using henna off and on for a while the last 4mo I have use different kinds Nupur, Rajasthani and Cassia i have notice my hair came out within the last two week in the back one large spot not sure if its the Henna or something else? any advise is helpful.
I started using Henna from Lush cosmetics it is a little more pricey but It had pure coco butter in it and it leaves my hair so soft!
I like the fact that it's already blended together and you know exactly what you are buying.
I am on the fence with Henna. I do a combination Henna/indigo mix. I have to say I love the way it gives my hair a feeling of strength and volume, but I hate the dry, brittle, tangled feeling I get in my hair. I have deep conditioned, moisturized, trimmed ends, moisturized some more, both commercial and homemade, did I say deep condition, I've pre poo'd, post poo'd, but nothing seems to take away the harsh dry feeling I get in my hair. I don't use shampoo, I cowash. I don't use lemon juice. I mix with green tea and honey. I am about to give up on the Henna because I've lost so much hair within the two henna treatments, that I am afraid I will not have any hair left if I continue. I know people say, just deep condition and moisturize, but my hair is not going back to the way it was pre henna. I might add, my hair is 4C, fine and already delicate.
Hi Nikki,
I am interested in the Henna but I have some questions. I recently colored my hair with a red that you really cant see and I am wondering if I want to try the Jamila that you recommend, should I wait for a while before using it since I colored? And if I have red tones in my hair will that Henna darken or lighten the color I have as undertones? I am nervous so just trying to get all the information I can. The color I did was permanent. And I did that because I kept being told I can't achieve the color I want with a rinse.
hey Curly Nikki, I was wondering why you dont mix your henna mix with lemon juice as instructed by mehandi.com? I have recently ordered my henna from the site and I have not as yet tried it because Im not sure what to mix it with, the tea or the lemon juice.
If I want to Henna, should I get the Ancient Sunrise Henna for African Hair?
High, its T.L. again… For anonymous(07/22/10) MSM has nothing to with Henna… But it is a wonderful mineral that bodies should have..MSM is organic sulphur…but is hard to find "Pure Organic Sulphur" The common pill form found has anti-caking agents that alter its affect. But in the form of Organic Sulfur, coarse crystal flakes and have had no further processing. It helps with oxygen flow. Take orally and use topically for rashes, aches, natural antibacterial etc…*In human history we use to get it from food until FERTILIZER use was mandated in 1954…One reason why our veggies/fruit don't have as much nutrients today. We have more cancer, etc… Check out Orgone Energy website very insightful….**My experience has been positive with MSM. My daughter once had contact dermatitis, eczema type allergic reaction. Her prescription was making the dry patches disappear…Went to a health food store, struck up conversation. Purchased MSM with vitamin E and her ECZEMA was history! Only cost me $8.00 compared to the $20 prescription..
High, I'm TL, New to Forum communicating.. I'm a henna user. So I thought I'd comment a bit… For anonymous (5/17/10). Google Henna…a bush with leaves that yield the red dye henna. Can be manipulated with other plants to yield different colors….I use Colora Henna..Mehandi.com has some high quality henna and tutorials….Basically it wraps the hair shaft in a halo that reflects beautifully in the sun. Protects the hair……Mix with yogurt or tea helps the color deepen and stay better than tap water…….Research Mehandi website for more understanding of the use…Hope that helps
Hi nikky

I have tried to sign up on the henna forum and I created a username but I have yet to receive a password so I can post my questions.
