It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
I am an author, blogger, hiv/aids advocate, speaker from chicago, Illinois. I am a huge fan of your site. I have been natural for 5 years and I still learn so much about natural hair care from your blog everyday. This is a pic that I took with my blackberry on the day of a photo shoot. I wanted a cornrowed mohawk, but my head is to big to compliment that style…lol so, I put a few corn rows on one side and blow dried my hair straight, then added some flexi rods to give me some curls….I hope you like it…
I am nine months into my transition to natural. In this picture I am getting ready for work. My style is a twist out on wet hair. Products used were Design Essentials leave-in Conditioner, sealed with unrefined shea butter/coconut oil mix (small amount) and Miss Jessie’s BabyButterCream. The twists were set with small perm rods.
This picture was taken on May 13th at the Grand Canyon, while on vacation in Las Vegas. My hair is in a braid out. I co-washed using Darcy’s Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Moisturizer and steamed for 40 minutes with Jessicurl Weekly Deep Conditioning Treatment. I used Darcy’s New Daily Leave-in Conditioner and air dried for 40 minutes. I applied Darcy’s Coconut Lemongrass Transitioning Creme and Darcy’s Madagascar Vanilla Styling Creme, and made 10 braids. I then applied Darcy’s Juicy Peach Kernel Nectar Oil to my ends, air dried overnight and unbraided the next morning.
These are pics of my nieces Sydney and Sasha. I introduced Miss Jessie’s Baby Butter Cream to their mother and she loves it. This is a pic of them after their nightly bath time. Sydney is on the left and Sasha is on the right. I love my munchkins!!!
10 months natural– I was going out to dinner sporting a wash n go using HE’s Totally Twisted and raw Shea butter.
It was just another busy busy day at work 🙂 This is my curly fluffed out fro made from a two-strand twisted bantu knot-out…
I was on my way to work in this picture, I am almost 2 months post BC.
This is one day after my big chop and I’m on my way to work.
Two strand flat twist on the sides, and the front and the back consisted of two strand twists that were pinned up into a bun up do with a waterfall bang. On my way to work, but ready for the weekend!
I was on the way to the mall…my favorite spot. I scrunched my hair about two days before so this is third day hair!!! Thanks to jess aka mahogany curls.
