I love love your blog. In this picture I was at a friend’s wedding rocking my TWA. The night before, I washed my hair with Nubian heritage, and then twisted using Ecostyler Gel (this stuff is amazing). My curl definition was great.

My name is Ta-Nefer, I ve been natural for about 9 years now. When I started transitioning in 2001, there wasn’t a whole lot of info and resources out there for natural hair. So I have had a lot of trial and error, I still struggle with breakage, growth and maintaining length. I had Locs from 2003-2008, so My BIG CHOP was the locs and not a perm. My hair was off to a good start however I wanted to experiment with styles and got a few presses which I regret. So I had to cut again. I’d love to walk you through my 9 year hair journey I have pictures for every step of the way.

This was my hair for a Red Sox game I went to a couple of weeks ago. I got amazing seats from one of my guests at the restaurant I work at. :o)

Day 2 hair on a Cruise to Mexico with a group of family and friends. This was the morning we returned to port before leaving the ship. I co-washed with Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner before adding more Suave as a leave-in, applied oil and brushed through with a Denman brush to distribute. Finished it off with Olive Oil Eco Styler Gel. It lasts about 4-5 days and even held up to the wind and humidity in the Gulf!

I love fierce fridays! it is the first thing I do when i get to work :0. But I realized today is that what I love most is this shows how beautiful and diverse our curls are! Hope you are winding down well with Pregnancy!
