Hola Chicas!
I think I’m (finally) going to do a much needed Deep Treatment this weekend. I have options too– not sure whether I’ll use Jessicurl Weekly Deep Treatment, Biolage Matrix Conditioning Balm, or Curl Junkie’s DT. Decisions, decisions… either way, once I’m finished, I’ll be twisting out to rock a bun for the next week.
What about you?!
This weekend I spent trying out some new products. I planned to do a henna gloss, but I didn't want that to effect my opinion of the new prpoducts, so I will save that for another weekend.
I washed my hair with VO5 Kiwi Lime squeeze shampoo, conditioned with Giovanni smooth as silk deep moisture conditioner. I just did 2 strand twists for the first time, phew that was alot of work coz iam not very fast. I used Deva Curl Set It Free and Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum to twist. I am sitting under my soft bonnet dryer typing this and crossing my fingers that my hair comes out fabulous !
This weekend I will:
1. Pre-poo with Brahmi oil
2.Co-wash with Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter
3.Deep condition with a mix of coconut milk, olive oil, avacado and whatever half empty bottle of conditioner I have laying around.
4.Rinse and use Giovanni 50:50 Balancing conditioner as a leave in.
5. Styling with EcoStyler for a wash and go.
Henna overnight and two-strand twists
Im getting Box Braids!
CAn't wait until tomorrow after church. I"m going to pre-poo w/ African's Best HERBal oil; wash with BURT's Bees BRAzil Nut and Rosemary poo; DT WITh an amla/brahmi mix (hopefully I can mek it by the Indian grocers for some other herbs to add); DC with GVP CONDitioning Balm….and finally twist my hair until dry in the morning. Gosh I love Wash Day π
I just got done with a Henna-N-Placenta treatment and my curls are bouncin and behavin! Now what comes after that is still in question..Maybe some finger coils
…still transitioning with BEAUCOUP shrinkage! Trying to see if banding works π
This weekend, I made love to my hair. I did the following regimen
1)Pre-poo treatment of coconut oil and honey.
2)Co-wash with Aubrey Oganics replenishing conditioner.
3)Deep Conditioned with Organics Olive Oil Deep Conditioner.
4)Clarifying rinse with Baking Soda and water.
5)Leave in conditioned with Infusium 23 and Cantu Shea Butter Conditioning Cream.
I put in some big platts and let dry. Tomorrow I will do two strand twist using a mixuture of Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter with Silky Shea Hair Butter.
I would say I definately made love to my hair this weekend.
Overnighted with Henna, DT with AOHSR,Giovanni 50/50 and Coconut Oil mix (first time I've tried this). Just finished Twisting with Giovanni Leave-in,EP OO&Mango Butter & sealed with Shea Butter, with hopes of a decent Twist Out in a few days,
Yesterday I did a henna with indigo (2:1) and finally had my grays turn dark brown. I DT with Oyin honey hemp conditioner overnight and left it in. This morning I used my flax seed/aloe vera gel and my curls are poppin' with my wash 'n go. I'll be using Celebration henna for my treatments from now on – hope it's good.
I wake up every Saturday morning, shampoo with Organix and DC using Bed Head Moisture Maniac and Miss Jessies Rapid Recovery, adding honey and EVOO. Then I sit under the dryer for about 10 min with a bag on my head. I leave the bag on my head until I'm ready to get dressed for the day. It leaves my curls feeling shiny and soft.
I did a henna gloss and finally used my new steamer that came in the mail the other day!!! i was like a kid on christmas morning….used it with AOHSR and right now my hair is in twists for a twist out for sunday!!
Deep conditioning and then twisting it up until Monday. I have a busy week ahead so I need something simple that will withstand the GA humidity
I'm trying a new Henna mix (added castor oil–I know, adventurous π and DT'ing after with Jessicurl WDT. I'll twist it after with some Oyin's Juices n Berries and Castor oil. I'll have a floppy 'fro for Sunday π
my 1st wash-n-go after my deep conditioning !!
Absolutely nothing. I've worn twists for a week. On Monday I'll unleash them for a twist out.
my 1st wash-n-do after my deep conditioning !!
I got a mini chop yesterday so I'll be putting my hands in my alllllll weekend long!
I'm sitting with Aubrey Organics honeysuckle rose, olive oil, and coconut oil as a pre-poo deep treatment, then I'll wash with trader joes tingle tree, condition with v05 passionfruit smoothie, then use Kinky Curly knot today and curling custard to get a cute wash-n-go π

I love GVP Conditioning Balm, so I am pretty sure the matrix Conditioning Balm (which the Sally's brand bases theirs off of) is just a good.
I am not going to do much to my hair, just twisting it up right now because I have to work this weekend. π
