What Should I Buy?- Natural Hair PJism
Hola Chicas,

I just completed my daily walk and I’m feeling great! I’m on my way out the door to get some Qdoba and to pick up some laundry detergent. Since Walmart is out of the question, I’m going by Tarjay… and my PJ is in rare form 🙂
I’d like to try a new conditioner or curl cream for my Twist-n-Curl and Target is doing the dang thing right now as far as curly products are concerned. What should I get?! Hurry too, because I’m literally leaving right now!

Also, what are you doing to your hair this weekend? Are you trying anything new?

I went to Target this past evening and planned to purchase some Shea Moisture products. I ended up buying the She Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and the Jane Carter Wrap and Roll. Hopefully they work out because this will be a first try for both lines. I've been wearing my hair in fat twists for the last week and rocked a chunky twist out today. For church (today!?) I'll wear it again. Anyway, I'm excited to try the Shea Moisture product the most. Wish me luck!

I'm with everyone that says to try Shea Moisture. I love the products I've tried and just bought the deep treatment masque b/c I'm on the look out for a new DC.

Lucky me, I won a jar of Miss Jessie's Super Sweetback Treatment. I just tried it today so my plan is to have my review of how it went up on Monday

i also went to target today and was so tempted to try the giovanni tea tree triple treat shampoo and conditioner, but i didn't buy them. I thought i won the war with my inner pj, but then i went to marshall's and they had the big 34 oz bottles with the pump for almost the price of a regular size bottle so i gave in to the conditioner.

One thing i would recommend you try is the garnier fructis triple nutrition line. i tried their shampoo last week and it leaves your hair feeling like you co-washed. my hair came out so soft!!!

I've been wearing a flat-twist out since wednesday and i love it so i think i will be washing and doing it over again for next week.

I bought some organics Coconut Milk Cond. I am looking for a cute protective style that'll last more than a week. I find that my two strand twists pinned up only last about a week and then they look frizzy

maybe the third time will make a charm… Kinky Curly is now at Target!!! i saw it yesterday while picking up some Shea Moisture to try. the prices are the same as Whole Foods, but it'll make life more convenient.

    Salutations,
Just learned something new from you Curly Nikki about protein sensitivity. Going to reduce how often I use AO GPB and protein products. Love the archived info on protein. I still love my AO GPB, but I think I will be using the Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose more often and only do protein treatments as needed. BTW, I also want to thank you for the articles about products that have proteins in them and please extend my thank you to the Curl Whisperer. Hope you had a great time at Tarjay. Salutations,
I am really looking forward to seeing what you get. Personally, I have never tried Herbal Essences, but a lot of my friends are hooked on it and you can see the difference in their hair. I am currently trying to keep my PJism in check, but it is challenging for I want to find the best product for my hair. Good luck on your quest and I hope you are successful. P.S. Due to my sensitive skin and immune system I have to be very careful what I put in or on my body. At this time, I would recommend Aubrey Organics GPB conditioner as a protein treatment and follow with Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose for deep conditioning treatment. Please note I always do a DC treatment after a Protein Treatment based on Chicoro's recommendation in her book and my hair likes it. Aubrey Organics can be a little expensive (Lucky Vitamin website is pretty economical), but I have never had a allergic reaction using their products – priceless.

the shea moisture deep treatment mask or the restoratives conditioner since both can be used as a leave-in conditioner/moisturizer. Love them both.

I want to try the Shea Moisture deep conditioner.

Yesterday I washed and conditioned my hair, and banded it to stretch it out. Today I put in about 15 Bantu Knots. This is my first doing these so hopefully they come out well.

I just picked up a jar of L'oreal Everstrong Deep replenishing masque & Overnight Repair treatment (i've heard great things about the latter)–I'm taking out my braids this weekend so I plan on pampering my tresses!

    TRY GIOVANNI!!!!!!!

Shea Moisture hair products cost about $9 each. I recommend the shea moisture deep treatment mask.

I've you ever tried Cantu Shea Butter conditioning leave in?

OOOh, I forgot, I am going to try TWO things this weekend!!! 🙂
I am going to try your fab henna gloss recipe. I tried it on my cutie daughter (she's grown) and loved the effects. I usually use a regular henna mix – I have a decent amount of grey (15%?) and this gives the streaks I was never able to get with regular dye. I have been using henna (usually mixed with lemon juice and black tea) for about 7 months so I feel like I have a good idea of how to use it. Now I am ready to experiment.
I also plan to try out my bendy rollers. I haven't used them since I was relaxed and then only to reset my hair after a flat ironing. (yikes, that hurts to remember~!) Now I think I want to try to set my whole head wet. If it doesn't work out, who cares. I can just wear a fro. Gosh I love natural hair. – swoodward (again!)
