That NC article about curly women's wishes for easier care hit home with me, esp. the one about being able to have a consistently good style on a daily basis. I would like one styling product — not 2, not 4, just ONE — that would work reliably 100% of the time. And yeah, if it helped elongate my coils without damaging them, that would be a huge plus.

    Something that can:
a.) provide my hair with the proper moisture/protein balance
    b.) stop breakage/shedding
c.) make my hair grow (FAST)
d.) provide the perfect twist out/bantu know out/braid out

A machine that detects whether your hair needs more moisture or protein.

Better yet, a machine that can do that and then make a conditioner that gives your hair EXACTLY what it needs!

  • Anonymous says:

    A dehumidifying hairdryer!

Man I hate sitting under that hot helmet for hours. Let's invent a dryer/dehumidifier that saps up the excess moisture to help reduce drying time!

Anybody wanna chip in towards research and development! LOL

    Thetruthisoutthere ^-^

Oh, the things I'd do for a machine that untangled SSKS! And trimmed split ends while at it.

  • faye says:

The machine has already been invented. A hair stylist.

  • vonnie says:

i second a machine that would find and untangle single strand knots….oh my, that'd be AMAZING

  • Southernbellebronxtale says:

a hat that process Henna in 20 minutes

  • Raytosha says:

A machine that could unknot single strand knots! That would be pretty amazing.

  • JustTrena says:

A machine, that when placed on your scalp, will slowly rotate and massage your ENTIRE scalp, while periodically spurting the teeniest bit of oil to soothe and soften your scalp! I would by that in a heartbeat!!! I tremble thinking about it!! lol

  • Anonymous says:

@classicbeautyn that would definitely be worth the investment!

  • Curly Hair Styles says:

I'd like a measuring instrument that I could place my hair in and it would tell me how much of my cuticle on my hair I have left.

I know these are called microscopes, but I think it would be cool if people could buy something like this to check how weathered or damaged their hair was and it was handheld.

  • Bridget says:

A heat-free hair drying machine that dries hair in 10 minutes or less.

  • CocoaDreamee says:

I love Sarah's idea to weigh the hair down during the drying process, and I love a product to eliminate frizz when I dont want it…but i would like a translation system, so my hair can just tell me what it needs. I hate the guessing game of moisture, water, oil, protein,a deep condition…it would be great to just say "use your words" LOL

  • Shante (tempertink) says:

    A. I agree with Sarah. A machine to end hair shrinkage

    B. A curl definer

  • Ebbles says:

    Shea butter

  • Anonymous says:

some type of hair weight to eliminate shrinkage

  • Freda says:

A detangling scarf (you place it on your head and it somehow detangles in 5 minutes tops)!

I would definitely buy a twisting robot but they would have to work super fast (less than an hour).

  • Unknown says:

I will invent a creme to eliminate frizz although I am starting to like a little frizz with my styles

  • Mailuv7 says:

Gloves that can disperse a moisturizing cream all over my hair and detangle as well 🙂

  • Anonymous says:

    ugh… *twists

  • Anonymous says:

Umm… I'm gonna go with a robot that can do my twist for me while I sleep. Hahaha!

  • Anonymous says:

Hmmm… what about a product which would give me the curlformers look without all the work I have to put in and out the CF's and also all the waiting to let the hair dry. That cream/gel/whatever… would def., be my HG.

Ah, or some product which would really make my hair grow 10 inches a month 😀
