Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions from transitioning ladies asking about how long I have been natural, what products I use and how I style my hair.
This is great, but what “quick hits” would you give someone if you are pressed for time. I try to include products that are easy to find and not costly, Youtube and websites like Curly Nikki, of course!
@Notthecoolmom, that is such a great idea, girl pass them cards out. I would like to see what they look like, seems very interesting.

I have since made cards to direct ladies to my Youtube channel, but still haven't been brave enough to pass them out.
First Mane and chic for overall site, moptopmaven for inspiration, and Curlynikki for tips and hints for blogs. For Alternative sites naturallycurly, and hairlista. For videos longhairdontcare2011, lexiwiththecurls, Prettydimples01, and Africanexport1530. There are more hair personalities but I can't remember them.
Products depend on your hair but shea butter, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and rosewater (I realized that this was help keeping my hair so amazingly soft)
i first recommend your website. then i tell them about kinky-curly, HETT, and Oyin Handmade. i just did this at a diner two days ago and always find myself getting stopped on the street.

Trying to get all your points across in a quick convo is too much. I started my blog privately to track my progress and I was able to use it to help others. I just write the web address on the back of my business card and let them look at their leisure.
I tell them about CurlyNikki, shea butter, and deep conditioning.
ya, this was definitely a good post. A lot of people ask me this too and I find that I don't really know where to start lol.
But I guess the best advice you can offer people are good products to use for cleansing and moisturizing and just like the post says, make sure they are cheap and easily accessible.
I recommend this blog too. I also suggest to only detangle when hair is wet with conditioner (can be cheap), to try shea butter and/or coconut oil, to try sample products so you don't waste money on large sizes of products that you don't like/don't work, and to be gentle with the demarcation line. ~KF519
I definitely recommend Curly Nikki, also Black Girl with Long Hair (http://bglhonline.com) That site is like crack! And congrats again Nikki! So excited that you're a mom 🙂
Shea butter, EVOO, Shea Moisture products, and inexpensive conditioners
It seemed that I would always have someone stop me to ask about my hair…I would rattle off websites and products, they would look confused, so I decided to create my own blog to send them to. That way if they were serious, they would visit my blog, email me, and I could effectively provide them with their requested information.
