Hola chicas!

It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty!

Hi! It’s Eileen again. Here I am out the door for Fireworks and National Afro Day on July 4th. The ‘fro was super soft thanks to a Crisco deep conditioner then a co-wash with KCC’s Knot Today and an ends seal with Coconut Oil. At the Baton Rouge 4th celebration there were tons of naturals and that in itself made me feel warm and fuzzy!
Two stand twist up do, I love love love this style! I was in Monterey, CA on my way to the beach.
In this picture I’m wearing a co-wash and go. I used Aussie Moist to condish, and applied Cantu Shea Butter leave in for moisture, and to hold my curls. My hubby is sporting his locs, he’s been locked for 3 years and I’ve been natural for 2 1/2. We were chillin with the family in Kemah, Texas on the Kemah boardwalk.
This is a pic of me and my daughter at a July 4th BBQ. I am calling this style my “stretch & go” – it simulates the look of a wash and go, perhaps on day 2, without requiring me to wet my hair (my 4b/c, 5″ long hair shrinks to 1″ when wet!). This was my first attempt at this technique and I was pleased with the results.

I LOOVVVVEEEE your site! This is me 3 days after my BC! I was in my bathroom getting ready to go to lunch with a friend. This is a 3 day old coil out. 🙂
Hey Nikki! This was my ‘do for the week. Thank goodness, because it was pretty hot and humid, I didn’t have to worry all that much. Every other day I twisted the top into chiney bumps to stretch out my hair a bit, and changed hair accessories to match what I wore 🙂

This pic was taken while on my family vacation in Italy a few weeks back. The style– a braid out with minimal products i.e. water and EVOO, since we were ‘travelling light’.

This is me a half-hour after my BC. This may be between the 7-9th time I have gone natural. I am older and wiser about how to care for my natural hair (thanks to CN). This cut boosts my

confidence through the roof!

This is a style inspired by the ladies on Curl Street Journal, and JnB who I saw in person rocking this style. I said to myself “Deborah you can so rock that!” At 49 I try my best to wear styles that are age appropriate. What is age appropriate when you are natural @ 49! LOL Since I’ve gone natural most people say that I look 10 years younger. This is a puff with twist out bangs. I used Qhemet’s Amla & Oilve Heavy Cream; Oilve & Honey Hydrating Balm and EcoStyler gel to create this look!! Just getting my sexy on at work of all places!!! 🙂

Shletha and Stephanie
Here we are at the Carols Daughter Store at the Essence Music Festival 2010. Shletha is rocking her fierce BC and My hair is in 2 strand twists since I swim twice a week. I wore a twist out the rest of the weekend. We were FIERCE all weekend!
