I just tried my first natural hair style, the Bantu Knot Out! I washed and conditioned with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration (love the way it made my hair feel – SO SOFT!) Lightly oiled my scalp with a mixture of Aloe Vera Oil and Shea Butter Oil. Used Cantu Shea Butter conditioner as a leave in, HE Totally Twisted mousse, and Garner Fructis Triple Nutrition Nutrient spray to prep hair and sealed my ends with Cantu Shea butter! I was nervous about the outcome, but I LOVED IT!! I’m so excited about my natural hair journey – Although my hair was not perfect (one side did not dry – so I pinned it up) I love the way my hair feels! Here I’m sitting at work thinking about how much I love my hair!! Thanks for the inspiration Curly Nikki!Show and Tell- Fierce Friday

This is a picture of me at my desk at work (which is exactly why I’m not smiling). The style is a variation of a mohawk with flat-twists on the side, and two-strand twists. Each row of twists is rolled into a mini-bun. I like this look for work because it kinda tames the mohawk look for work, but when I’m not at work I can just take the pins out and rock my regular hawk. I used SheaMoisture Deep Treatment Mask as my styling cream.

This was a braid/twist-out. I co-washed with Pantene Curly and braided the roots and 2-strand twisted and coiled the ends with ORS lock and twist gel. I let it air dry overnite and used my homade hair butter to pull them apart. It was hot as a mother, father , sister uncle out that day so I swooped the sides up with combs. I was on my way to my cousin’s wedding. I got so many
compliments.Show and Tell- Fierce Friday

This pic was actually taken after I had just chopped off all of my hair. It’s fierce because I had the nerve to throw on some orange earrings and do my thang!Show and Tell- Fierce Friday

Rocking a wash-n-go made super curly with Kinky Curly Curling Custard. It was my cousin’s 22nd birthday so we all dressed up and hit the town!
