This is a style I put together from a flat-twist & two-strand twist style I wore earlier in the week. I was going to be performing at a fashion show, and I was doing a Chrisette Michele song, and was inspired by how she wore her hair prior to her BC.

This photo is my first attempt at doing something other than a wash-n-go during the last 6 months of being natural. I did a two strand twist out on damp hair from a 2-day old wash-n-go and then added a poof in the front for some oomph. As my hair gets longer, I’ll be trying even more!

This is me at home in Southern Cali!! I was just returning from a day of shopping. The night before I did a curlformer set but ran out of rollers at the crown of my head! So, I improvised with flexirods and a few other rollers my mom had around the house. I pinned one side up to create a frohawk look and cover the imperfect spirals.

This is me (Marcy) and my fellow natural Jenelle at a John Legend concert out in Brooklyn. The humidity was crazy so my twistout was less defined as the day went on but I loved it.

This is a pic of me at my brother’s college graduation from USC in Columbia, SC. Go Gamecocks! I am currently transitioning- six months in and going strong! I needed a hair break and fell in love with Tiashauntee’s cornrows and twists protective style. I am really feelin’ this ‘do and it will definitely stay in my style rotation! 🙂
