Thanks so much anonymous! I had no idea you could make your own gel, you learn something new everyday, lol… Thanks again for the tips, I'm definitely gonna check it out!
Have you tried Flaxseed Gel in your hair?, now that will lock in your curl pattern and set your hair. I have made me some after watching Naptural85 on youtube, and it held the whole day even with the heat and a little bit of wind blowing. You can try the sheamoisture hisbicius mist and shine curl, I hear that it has a nice hold for the hair and a good smell along with shine.
I love this look but I can't seem to make it through the day without it looking like a pattern-less shrunken afro. In the morning I look fab by the time I hit the train station it starts to swell and by the end of the day I just look like i slept on it wet. What do you ladies use for your hair to help keep the weather from re-doing your style?
Yeah you can probably find those items in a whole foods place, or a place that sells alot of organic stuff. Like here in Savannah,Ga we have "Brighter Day Natural Foods" and it has all of the different types of oils, vitamins, prouduce, jason hair shampoos/conditioners. On the glycerin, I'm not sure if it would be good to use glycerin in the dryer months, since it's used to take moisture from the air and into your hair. But if it's dry outside, then having this in your hair would only make it dry.
where can i find rose water, and peppermint and lavendar oils? at my nearest wholefoods, maybe??? and can i use these oil mixture in the dryer months? I live in new orleans where it doesn't get as cold but im wondering about the glycerin in the dryer months…
Wow! Gorgeous twistout!!
Yeah Nikkimae2003 I really like her youtube site. I ventured over to it the other day, and saw this style. I had to try it and my hair came out so pretty, and it was fluffy as well. I got a compliment with this one. Last week I work my afro with a flower in it, and got a compliment, of course the GA weather is still a pain. But thank goodness it's starting to cool down now because I seriously can't take all of this hot weather. I feel like a chicken just roasting everyday, but I digress anyway both of these videos look very good.
Kadian's hair is gorgeous. WnG's are great but the weather is definitely changing… can't do WnG on a daily basis. What a great tip to extend your WnG. I can't wait until I get more length for the wave effect. CN thanks for sharing!
Your hair is gorgeous!
Kadian's hair looks great!
I love how she just shakes her hands through her hair and the curls pop out.
Mae's hair looks so cute!
Her hair texture is very close to mine.
Great videos!
Thanks for sharing Nikki
