This video was forwarded to me by a friend. I had to share it with you and the CN community. This clip was featured on Sesame Street recently. I want to run out and show it to all the little girls who are begging their parents for relaxers. Heck, there are a few adults I wouldn’t mind showing it to as well. LOL! Well, please enjoy it. I hope it inspires you and all the other natural women to keep fighting the good fight!
Amazing video. I wrote a book that addresses the same issues. So far my fans love it for their little girls.

Very cute and funny! Love it. I love my hair!!
Was smiling the whole time! π Love it!
This video is too cute and came right on time, becuase my 4 yr old SON was upset the other day because his bestfriend at school had a spiky mohawk and he didnt.
So of course me being natural I proudly told him his hair was different, I told him his hair was wavy and curly and most important beautiful the way god made it and his caucasian friend's hair was straight and beautiful just the way god made it for him.
Needless to say all that did was upset him more that his hair was "different"!..He made such a big deal about not wanting curly hair which totally took me for a loss.
I never imagined having that talk with my son but apparently boys are affected by their natural hair too!
So kudos to sesame street for bringing this issue to the forefront!
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful!!!!!!!!! I can't stop watching it. I makes me proud! It brings tears of joy. I love it!
LOVE! this.. i had to dance a little!
This just made me love Sesame Street even more!!! i'm gonna share this with some of the girls in my pre-k class because at 4 years old they are ALREADY having body image issues with their natural hair.
thanks Courtnee' for posting the link to a clearer version…appreciated π
Love this! Love, love, love. What a great message.
Absolutely … friggin' … awesome. That's what I just wrote when I posted this on my FB page and tagged a few natural friends and family members. Just the other day, I saw a Grover skit that spoofed the Old Spice commercial and now this???? Sesame Street ROCKS!!!

Love, love, love it!!! Thanks for sharing, I love my hair too!
I LOVE IT!
Awwwwww… π Sesame Street always was a good show growing up but I love how they've evolved with the times and keep coming up with good and relevant topics. ~KF519
This made my day. So cute and sweet. Very postive and truthful. I am now wearing my hair in two-strand twists. I love how many things I can do VS. having it straighten at the salon. Even then I always got some type of curl style.

I just saw this on your facebook page Nikki and I posted it to MY page. I just washed my hair last night. I love how I can mold my medium afro without any hair products. "I LOVE MY HAIR"!!!!!!
OMG I love this! it is so cute and adorable! I really like how they gave her so many different hair styles. I wish I had this growing up.
This is too cute. Sesame Street is the bomb.
That was very cute and Im glad this is out there!
This video is too cute. I love my hair too. I posted on my facebook page for all my friends to see. After showing it to my 8 year old daughter who wants me to straighten her beautiful waves out, she said mom I don't think I want to go the salon now – I like my hair. YEA!!!!!
Wow. That's awesome! I've never seen anything like that when I was growing up.
Awwww! I couldn't help but smile the whole time! This is why I LOVE Sesame Street! And my hair! lol!
I love this for all young and mature women to see all the things our hair can do. Thanks for posting it.
