Lisa Price, founder of Carol’s Daughter, offers a few tips and suggestions to make curly, coily, and kinky life a bit easier:
- Did you know? Some conditioners can be used as a styling cream for curls. The thicker the consistency, the better. Experiment to find which ones work best for you.
- Adding a tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil to a palm-full of your regular cconditioner will give you increased (and amazing!) moisturizing benefits.

So leaving conditioner in your hair will not damage it?
Great tips!
I so wanted my hair to like Carol's Daughter products, but my hair calls the shots and my hair just don't care for her hair products – still I am happy for her success. Sisters doing it for themselves…
I meant "wash with the Shea Moisture shampoo"
I use Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque as both a deep conditioner and a styling cream.
Usually, I was with the Shea Moisture shampoo, skip the conditioning step, and style my twists with the masque– kills 2 birds with one stone.
Love post and tips. Thank you.
