MYHoneyChild Olive You Deep Conditioner

Product Description: Triple-strength conditioner to rebuild damaged , weak hair. Olive You Deep Conditioner has soy milk with minerals and amino acids to help rebuild your hair, seaweed to soften and oils to increase tensile strength. Scoop out a handful and plaster it over badly ruined hair. Leave on for 45 minutes and rinse with cool water.

Ingredients: Water, Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Oil,Honey, Olea Europea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Soya Milk (Glycine soja), Fresh Cantaloupe Melon (Cucumis Cantalupensis), Natural Yoghurt, , Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Avocado Oil (Persea gratissima), Seaweed , Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Violet Leaf Absolute (Viola odorata), Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus dulcis), Neroli Oil (Citrus amara),

My Experience: Probably one of the best deep conditioners I’ve ever used… and that means a lot coming from me, as I, until recently, had no desire to try any MHC products. In 2005, the owner of the line cut and colored my hair. She did a fabulous job but the products she used to condition and style (the 3c or 4 cream) left me ridiculously oily, shrinky and somewhat dry. It took me two shampoos and a lot of patience to get the weird feeling out of my hair! Although she was sweet and very talented with the scissors, I decided that her products and my hair would never be friends. Fast forward to a few weeks back…I received the DT in the mail. I’ve used it four times, twice with heat and twice without. You know how it’s easy for a conditioner to make your hair feel soft, moisturized and overall happy while it’s still in? Well, with Olive You, upon rinsing, your hair will still feel soft, strong, moisturized and generally healthy. Although it’s thick in texture, it goes on easy and has some slip to it. My only gripe? The price. But this one ladies, I will totally re-purchase. Plus, it’s protein and glycerin free!

Bottom Line: Hands down one of the best deep conditioners out there. Loves it!

LOVE THIS!!!! I was worried that it would work for the price it is at first….but it did great :). For that extra "umph" add more honey & olive oil….OMG….it works wonders (4b hair type)

I had a similar experience hating the Type 4 cream back in the day. I will consider purchasing this though.

I tried MHC when I first big chopped. I hated the butters and creams. They made hair feels like broom straw. I cowashed with her Banana Cream Conditioner tho for eons. IT WAS AWESOME! Great slip, shine, detangling, and softness. She has since changed the formula and its not that awesome to me any more. 🙁

But I am a huge fan of her Honey Hair Mask as well as the Olive You!! I havent bought the OU in a while but I have 2 jars of the HHM in my fridge right now. It is VERY pricy in my opinion but worth it – it lasts a long while. My hair loves it!! It makes my hair soooo soft. I use this because my hair also loves protein, but can get a bit dry/brittle. Her hair masks soften like nobodys business. For reference, my hair is 4b, some 4a in the back/nape of my neck. Just made shoulder length (yaaay), very fine, soft roots but brittle coily ends, thick bit not as dense as most. My hair loves protein, but is glycerin sensitive. My hair hates glycerin in too much concentration. It makes my hair slighty sticky and spongy and I hate the way it feels. Anywho, peace and blessings ladys 🙂

I've been using this one time now, for my "Big Washing Day".
I started with doing a oil treatment with olive oil and amla oil, shampoo with a organic shampoo, then i used the dc, then i was doing a herbal rinse with lavender, nettle and a little rosemary – then i styled and used products.
I really like this dc, it's so easy to wash out and smells great.
And it leaves my hair so soft and it dont contain a lot unneaccasery stuffs, i finnaly found all my keeper products, lol! 🙂

Where can I purchase this product?

I said I wouldn't buy anything else until I use up what I have. What a CROCK! I am obsessed with moisture lately b/c my hair is so dry so I've been wanting a new DC. I have SheaMoisture, Pantene Relaxed & Natural, & Neutrogena Triple Moisture that I normally mix with some oil or something.

I might go ahead & get this. I've been wanting the Aveda Defining Whip too but I like what the GF sculpting cream gel does so I'm trying to keep my "no buy" promise to myself lol

I love this deep conditioner…even more than the Honey Hair Mask! 🙂 It's really awesome and your description of how your hair feels while it's in and when you rinse is right on point. I will definitely continue to purchase!

Thanks for the review. I have been looking at this line and feared it would turn out like your experience with her butters. So many people rave about the Type 3, Buttery Soy and type 4 creams as well as the honey hair mask. I am excited to try it though I thought it would be a slight protein con.

    Miss CJ.

Thanks for the review. I'm lazy with my deep conditioning (lazy meaning I never ever deep condition), but I've been noticing some dryness on my ends and feel like I need to start deep conditioning. I haven't even heard of this product before. I'll probably try it out.
