Hey CurlyNikki Community,
H & M in New York has an ongoing online contest to choose artwork to be displayed in their window, the theme is “New York City”. As I looked through the entries I found a few that I thought embody what it means to have natural hair!
Below you’ll find a title of the image, a short description and a link to the site where you can see the image and vote for it. The contest ends on October 15, 2010, so be sure to go out to the site and show the artists some love!
The artist describes this one as “The quintessential modern NY girl. She is liberated….her soul is free and no longer caged” Whether or not you live in NY, we are all fashion forward modern women who are comfortable in our own skin.

self proclaimed queen is my background 😀
wow, these are all great. My favorite is the self proclaimed queen
I love all three of these pieces. This is the kind of art I strive to make on a regular basis…
The artist of the third pic is Toni Daley. She was featured on CurlyNikki a few months ago. Toni can be found on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/tonidaley80) and fotki.
I've purchased one of her paintings and I am happy to say that it looks better in person. Toni is absolutely phenomenal.
Oh wow I live in NYC and haven't seen this in H&M yet. I love the third pic, absolutely beautiful. I wonder who the artist is, I'd like to hang that up in my house
