Jealous Moments
We’ve all been there. Jealousy is a bitter, wasteful and blind emotion. Jealousy can take you completely out of character, and lead you right into real-life situations that you’ve created with your own imagination. It’s hard to acknowledge that jealousy really comes from our own lack of self-worth. But it’s true.
Lately, I’ve been struggling with a need to control everything. And this jealousy thing is one of the ways in which this struggle has been showing up. It hurts to admit it, but it’s insecurity – and I’m still trying to figure out where it’s coming from. I know it’s a symptom of some deeper issues. But for now, I’m putting this aspect in perspective by dissecting it and facing it.
The following quote really hit home for me, and made me see myself.
“Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point – that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative – self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it’s a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you will be the one others envy, and you can remember the pain and reach out to them.”

Thank you so much for thhis quote. I really needed to to here that someone knows what im going through. Im trying to build my confidence up. Please keep writting quotes, it really does help people. People like me. Thanks girl!!!!!
This guote helped me a lot. I've been comparing my accomplishments with my friends and otherr women that I know and it makes me feel like I'm behind or slacking. This really helped me to realize not to get so jeaslous when I see people at different career levels and different domestic situations. Everything that was stated relates so much to how I was feeling and acting. I look for evidence to confirm my suspicions and I try to make myself seems better when really I'm just…
My affirmation for the day is never believe that you will always be on top. Sometimes we have to experince life from the bottom to be better when were on top. Life is a rollercoster it has it's ups and downs.
I so agree ANZ : )
I came to my affirmation a couple of weeks ago when I realized that the absence of romantic love is not always a bad thing. I realzied that if I focused on that absence of course I will feel empty. However, if I poured the love that I have into other people (other than the obvious family or friends), or my work, or anything else I'm passionate about,it will only multiply. It fills me up and there is no more room for emptiness. And when it is time for romance, I know that I will be able to share love the way that love is meant to be shared.
That quote really touched me since I am trying to build my self confidence. Been going through sum things and its been so hard not to be jealous of others I feel are in a "better position". I will be saving this and applying this to my life immediatly. *Smiling*
My affirmation for today will have to be to love me beyond anyone or anything. To know that my peace and power comes from within and from above. I will use today to use words that will only build and make better any person or situation….because honestly, negativety stems from jealousy. Quotated from Lawrence Durrell,…"It is not love that is blind, but jealousy."
My affirmation for the day would have to be loving me as a woman and the greatness I can become in this world. I am currently in school for physical therapy and I am coming up to the last three months in the program! I am so excited to start my business and work along side women like Curly Nikki in helping women achieve good health and wellness!
