Curl Moisturizing Spray
A perfect balance of distilled water and aloe vera gel or juice will keep your curls, coils, or kinks refreshed and ready to take on the day! Add a few drops of peppermint oil or tea tree oil for soothing scalp therapy.
Shea Butter Styling Cream
A mixture of your favorite essential oils, carrier oils, and of course organic shea butter! You can use this for every kind of twist, braid, or knot style you can imagine! Whip everything in a bowl with an electric mixer, and allow to solidify over night. Make it as thick or thin as you want, according to your hair type.

I like to get my ingredients and measuring spoons out to make my own hair products! I make a vegetable glycerin moisturizing spray and mix up a leave-in conditioner/styling cream. I just got some aloe vera juice and I wondered what else I could use it for and now I have some more ideas. Also I like the tip about making small batches, mine are more like tiny batches (I use the smallest ratios possible) so I don't waste anything. Then, I have more ingredients so I can tweak it to my hair's liking. I want to try a shea-aloe mixture, but I'll have to use up the stuff I have currently (I'm always thinking about what else I can get my hands into for my hair LOL).
i looooove me some whipped shea butter!

Thanks for the recipes Nik, it's always good to know how to mix a few staples especially with the cost of hair products rising. I love the organic oils, and especially the smell of coconut oil. It makes my hair so shiny and yummy.
