I can definitely appreciate this one. I went on vacation with my boyfriend back in June of this year and flat ironed my hair the day we were to return home. Well, it didn't turn out right, looked a complete mess. Plus when the time came for my shampoo and back to my curls, I had a few damaged strands…and I was horrified. I flat ironed again, (like a dummy) at the end of September and had so much breakage. I can say at this point, I am done with heat styling, in my book, it's OVERATED. It's not for me. I even gave my flat iron away and I am done. This article is SO true, there are too many alternatives and routes to go other than using heat. Twists, buns, flexirods, curlformers, and other countless wetsets. Be careful with the heat out there naturals if you still choose to use it! 🙂
