CurlyNikki, You have become my hair Shero..lol… I have tried just about everything, my closet looks like a beauty supply.. I have three textures in my hair, all seem to need something different.. Loose curls in the back, kinky in the middle and the front regular spirals.. A mess.. Do you have any suggestions…
I am currently using Nu Gro hair gro oil (grease consistency), moisterizing spray, and conditioner. The ingredients are 100 percent natural and my hair loves it! It stays moist all week and leaves my hair soft.
Although some may have an aversion to grease, I grew up on the stuff and used it after every wash when my hair was permed and often to slick my ponytails. I use the Nu Gro Grease to brush my hair into a puff instead of using gel…I save so much more time.
Go online to check out the ingredients for yourself…www.nugrohairproducts.com.
i am the BIGGEST pj known to man…i have been natural since 09.30.10 BIG CHOP with no transitioning well maybe 6 weeks [only have about an inch of hair lol] and i've bought about $400+ worth of products…my most recent purchases were aubrey organics white camellia shampoo and condtioner [LOVE] giovanni smooth as silk shampoo [HATE, gives me that squeaky clean feeling] and giovanni SAS conditioner [LOVE] their direct leave in [LOVE] shea moisture coconut & hibiscus shampoo [LOVE] conditioning milk [LOVE] curl enhancing smoothie [LOVE] their holding mist spray stuff [does nothing for me but hydrate so won't be repurchasing] shea moisture reconstructive elixir and conditioner [LOVE both] and that's about it…i only use organic stuff btw!
I just dropped a loot on some Moroccanoil products, Morocanoil Treatment, Intense Hydrating Mask, and the Intense Curl Cream. So far i am not impressed, they are just ok. I get similar results with less expensive products. Wish I hadn't listened to the stylist I met at the beauty supply store.
@DvaAuNaturel: Thanks for the info on The Hair and Body Boutique, I will be checking it out next weekend. Well, maybe tonight. Lol.
Ahh man… when that nikki15 discount code came up I made my first ever purchase at curlmart.com Oyin's Handmade Whipped Pudding, Jessiecurl TooShea Conditioner and My Honey Child Twist our creme…all the brands I have been hearing on th blogs and decided now Im going to start trying. Its the beginning of the end. This code is good till the end of the year, that gonna be a problem.
Hi ladies. I am newly transitioning (12 weeks since my last perm). I have been rotating the protective styles. I am currently wearing a straw set that my stylist did with flexi rods. I recently read about stawllers on the internet. It is a cross between the traditional "straw" and rollers for straw sets. Anyone ever use these? By the way, I have been lurking on this site for a few weeks now and I love it! Thanks Curlynikki for such a great forum.
I bought Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo and conditioner (for my hubby), and sampled the shampoo myself. The result was… meh. My scalp felt WONderful, but my hair felt squeaky clean, which I don't really like lol! I did a deep treatment with AOHR, honey, and olive oil afterward so it was all good. But I like my Kinky Curly Come Clean much better. Now if only Come Clean had tea tree oil in it…
I purchased Carol's Daughter's
Honey Mimosa, to seal and smooth frizzes, it smells awesome!!! A little goes a long way, and hair is soft, smoothed and frizzies are controlled – Thumbs up
Tui Leave in conditioner, to spray in my hair after rinsing out my conditioner – smells wonderful, has great ingredients, the consistency is very much like water, so not exactly what I expected. Not sure if I will purchase again!
and Tui Hair Smoothie – this is the BOMB!!! It’s expensive so I do not plan on rinsing this out everrrr!!! All you need is a smidge for each section (I part my hair in four sections) smells yummy! Thick custard like consistency! Hair is immediately softened!! I like this!!!
Macadamia Natural Oils Leave-In Conditioner. I like it, but moisture wise it's got nothing on my Curls Milkshake. Can't live without that stuff. I buy it in the 32oz bottle.
i discovered the local indian store this weekend and i'm in heaven…amla oil, natural henna, and chandrika soap which is great for the skin…natural products real cheap…i bought giovanni direct leave in…my hair doesnt like it…i saw a large bottle of gio shampoo n conditioner at tj maxx didnt buy it because i didnt like the leave in…my target does not have any of these great shea moisture products…vd
I am a 3C and just purchased Beautiful Curls poo and leave-in conditioner from Whole Foods. Price is right and hair loves them. Also ordered Curls in a Bottle by Curl Junkie – very light hair styling solution which doesn't weigh my hair down and gives it shine. Perfect for day three and so on. I have been natural for 12 years so I have used every product imaginable.
So I have been using Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothies on my hair since I bc'd on 10/28/10 and I love it!!!!! I defines my curls and my hair stays moisturizer with Shea butter as my base. It is 10.00 so you can't go wrong with that. I also just tried Suave almond and shea butter conditioner……. I think I like it better than Hello Hydration. My curls are much more defined with the Suave product!
OMG, I thought my junkie days were behind me, but if I buy natural oils and butters, does that really make me a junkie? Anyway, my latest are four boxes of Ayurvedic herbs and four bottles of Ayurvedic oils, the hair sampler from Pura Body Naturals which comes with two butters and two hair milks, two oils and three butters from Natural Bliss, a bottle of natural conditioner base to start making my own conditioner, Yes to Carrots samples of shampoo and conditioner, and Yes to Tomatoes Hair & Scalp Mud Mask. A few weeks ago, I got six poo bars from Chagrin Valley, and a Huetiful Hair steamer. Anyone ever think about having a virtual product swap?
I recently purchased EVCO, organic raw shea and mango butters an Cassia from butters-n-bars.com.
I purchased these items because I wanted to try my hand at mixing my own concoction for the winter. I finally got to it yesterday and my hair is still feeling very moistiruzed today, I can't wait to see how my hair feels tomorrow. I will be doing a review for Kinky Curly Coily Me! once I've had a chance to use a few more times. So far, I am loving it!!!!
Shea moisture deep conditioner sold at Target is my staple!!! Recently purchased organic henna and used with organic indigo to darken my hair and I love it! I love the color from henna in the summer, but like to go darker in the winter. I did a review and where I purchased here: www.sharronsguide.blogspot.com
i bought garnier fructis sleek and shine leave-in (per curly nikki lol) i also bougth giovani direct leave-in because ive hear rave reviews. Those will both be used as leave-ins and maybe a little added to my moisturizer.
i also bought shea moisture curl smoothie from target for a winter moisturizer and i love it so far..ive also been mixing it with a lil bit of the sleek and shine.
and last but not least i revisited and old favorite of mine from when i was relaxed…silicon mix dc…i absolutley loved it when i was relaxed so we shall see how it works on mostly natural hair today!
I got more Aveda stuff. FYI They will be raising their prices across the board starting Dec. 1st. Stock up now before the price hike. I got the damage remedy shampoo, and treatment conditioner. I will also get more dry remedy before the price hike.
I use Sariah Milan, a local atlanta company I use their, Butter Cookie Leave in conditioner for $16.00, it's all natural and vegan, my hair stays shiny and doesn't frizz up, I found out about them when my sister purchased a bottle for my 6 month old daughter. It's for babies but my daughters hair stayed so nice, I thought I'd give it a try.
I just bought two large Giovanni Smooth as Silk Deeper Moisture Conditioners (33.8 ounce) at my local TJMaxx for $12.99 (my favorite condish). I also purchased two 13 ounce bottles of Wild Aid Shampoo for $5.99 (sulfate free -coco betaine based shampoo without C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate -The C14-C16 Sulfonates in Giovanni shampoos dry my hair out and on naturallycurly.com they say it is a harsh surfactant). I haven't tried the shampoo yet, but the ingredients are promising.
I also recently bought some Sheamoisture products ($9.99 each) from Target which I love -the Moisture Retention Shampoo, Deep Treatment Masque and Curl enhancing smoothie. I love the shampoo, but it doesn't have coco-betaine to remove cones. The masque didn't work well as a deep treatment for me, but it is an awesome moisturizer/twisting creme esp if you add some gel (aloe vera or eco styler) to it for hold. I like the smoothie as a hair moisturizer for my hair and it is especially good on my 17 month old daughter's hair. I also bought the Curls Curl Cleansing Cream ($9.99), but haven't tried it yet.
Yesterday, I bought the Kinky Curly Knot Today (they now sell it at Target!) I also restocked on Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine Leave in (my plan b in case the KCKT didn't work out)
so far I like it! I'm going to try KimmayTube's leave in conditioner as well.
Oyin Juices and Berries is my new best friend. I spritz it on for moisture and it keeps me moisturized all day! MY hair is so soft and fruity smelling….I LOVE IT! Jesus made that stuff to deliver me from dry hair, I just know it….
I got 2 jars of SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus curl smoothie, 2 jars of the deep treatment masque, 2 more bottles of Goddess Curls (after finding out how well the gel works with coconut oil in a twistout) and 2 bottles of the lavish curls moisturizer. All of these products are keepers in my hair product arsenal.
I received Oyins sample pack of greg juice, define and shine, honey hemp conditioner, whipped pudding. I did a twist out last night and got some of the best results ever. My hair was defined and BIG like I like it! Lots of moisture and very soft. I twisted dampened hair (misted with spray bottle). I put the pudding on then followed with the define and shine. Good stuff!
I also bought Shidanaturals moisture cream detangler and gel along with the curl spray. The cream detangler was very moisturizing and the curl spray was great on 2,3 day hair for refreshing curls. The gel is OK…but needs lots of moisturizer underneath in order to keep hair from getting hard.
Yes, yes and yes to Yes to Tomatoes conditioner!! I LOVE this stuff. I get it at a few area Ross stores for $2.99. It is my awesome detangling conditioner and works twice as well as Yes to Cucumbers on my hair. Today I also found the Yes to Tomatoes body cream at Ross but haven't used it yet. I don't have a deep conditioner I love, I have been getting by by mixing conditioners I have on my shelf with my Ojin Restorative Treatment. I picked up Shea Moistures Deep Treatment Masque – going to try it out tomorrow.
I just recently bought the Curls product line sample kit. It came with the cleansing cream, coconut conditioner, moisturizer and souffle. I figured I would try the sample before I go all in. It just came in the mail today!
Is there a difference between the curls product on line and the line sold in target?
Today, I bought Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey to slick back some of the buns I'm planning I'm do and I got Curl Junkie's Curl Rehab Moisturizing Hair Treatment. I also just received my Essential Wholesale products! A bunch of moisturizers, conditioner and styling jelly were welcomed into my house 😉 I can't wait to get these kinky twists out and wash and treat my hair!
After reading the rave reviews that HE Hello Hydration received I decided to try it. I purchased it for the purpose of detangling my hair, which is 4b fine and dry. I love it! It works very well for my hair!
I bought darcy botanicals coils jelly and the palm fruit and cherry kernel butter. I'm a little skeptical about the butter based on how it feels on my hands but we'll see if my hair likes it. The jelly, though i haven't tried it yet either, feels like it may replace kccc for me.
I purchased today the Silcon Mix conditioner. After watching a few Youtube Videos and talking to a co-worker who has BEAUTIFUL hair. I said why not. This purchase was not in the budget but….I love to try new things. This is my first fall/winter with my hair not in braids. It is really dry already so…I am trying it tonight and hope it goes well : )
I bought Trader Joe's Tee Tree Tingle shampoo and conditioner because I've read some positive comments about it, it's inexpensive, and I go to Trader Joe's often (easy access)…lol. I'm really trying to use products I can just walk in and pick up as opposed to ordering online. Can't wait to try them tomorrow!
I bought the entire SheaMoisture line of products yesterday @ Target and I just finished my twists. The smell is wonderful. We'll see what I get in the morning. I bought the products based on the rave reviews from you wonderful natural women. Thanks!
I purchased it at my local beauty supply store if you don't see it with the other keracare products, ask for it ,because it might be behind the register with the rest of the products they don't want u to touch lol
I just recently purchased a set of samples from Oyin Handmade that contained a sample of Frank Juice, Define and Shine, Honey Hemp Conditioner and Whipped Pudding. I did my BC about a year and a half ago, and it didn't take long for me to become a PJ! I'm still trying to get in tune with my hair and trying to find the products that my hair likes has been a true challenge! I've gone from Carol's Daughter, to Miss Jessie's and a multitude of other products in between! There's so many to try Curly Nikki, I might need a therapy session to help cure my PJ'ism! LOL
I went a little overboard recently after finding a local store in my area that sells Darcy's, Curls, Bee Mine, Shikai, Carol's Daughter, Qhemet, and many others duscussed here on CN.com. I purchased the Carol's Daughter Hair Milk poo, condish, and curl defining cream. I also got a complete set of the Curls line. I was in heaven in this store, OMG! To not have to pay shipping for some of the lines I want to try and those I love already (Qhemet and Darcy's) is awesome. The Hair and Body Boutique in Silver Spring, MD for those in the DC/MD/VA area is where you can find these lines. I went to only get the Curls clarifying poo but went back because I figured I'd give the whole line a try. I got steps 1-4 Cleansing cream, Coconut Sublime Condish, Curls 2nd day Refresher/Leave In, and the whipped cream. I plan to go back for Bee Mine and my beloved Darcy's (leave in and oil).
My best recent purchase is Shea Moisture Coconut Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie. My fine, dry, 4B hair loves it for twists. Also, my trusty Trader Joe's Nourish Spa as a DC with honey and oils added.
Purchase Kera Care Naturals, twist and define, cleanser shampoo, leave in conditioner, butter cream, and daily moisture …….Love it….Love it, your hair will love the combo of moisture this product gives.
I recently purchased vatika oil. Have only been using it for two days, but can see a difference in my twist outs. Also just got aloe juice. I mix it with distilled water and use on my twist.
Dee said,
OMG it's funny you would mention this!I am normally a Walgreen's shopper however I decided to go to Rite Aid instead. I was suppose to be getting meds for a cold/sinus needless to say I got in that store and forgot about being sick. Forty minutes later my bag was full of goodies. Yes to Carrots(love it)Vo5(which was on sale for .67 cents-OK for a cheap conditioner)Twisted sista hair products(haven't tried it yet). I also just ordered the Oyin Burnt Sugar pomade(love it) and Karen's Body Beautiful Hair butter. So excited……Woohoo!!!
I just bought Taliah Waajid's Protective Mist Bodifier today. I'm looking forward to using it. I also picked up some aloe vera juice and vegetable glycerin to mix up my own daily spritz.
I bought Taliah Waajid's Protective Mist Bodifier and the Shea Moisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie. Absolutely LOVE them both…used them together to FINALLY get the effect and FEEL that I've been looking for in my 2 strand twists. My hair is SO SOFT. And there's not a lot of shrinkage Woohoo!!!
Just today I'd gone to Target and was helping my mom to find the cantu shea butter products when I noticed that they'd set up a new display with Miss Jessie's, Curls, Jane Carter and Shea Moisture! I was so happy and was basically causing a scene. Lol, I was just so excited because I hear about these products all the time on Youtube and haircare forums and now I didn't have to order the online! I bought Shea Moisture shampoo, hair milk, scalp elixir, and moisturizing spritz.
I just got a haul of Jane Carter solutions produsts at my local Ross,YEAH! I got moisture nourishing shampoo, revitalizing leave in conditioner, condition& scculpt, and natural hold locking spray all for $20. BARGAIN. I have used the shampoo and leave in and I like, for the price it was good. The condition& sculpt, no so much. I am trying a twist out w/ my oyin burnt sugar pomade (which i LOVE) and the locking spray. From what I can tell now I will love. Gonna leave the twist in until tomm and see.
Yesterday I went to Target and bought Shea Moistures Deep Treatment Masque….ladies my HAIR hated it as a deep conditioner. It did nothing, nothing at all. I am going to try it as a moisturizing styling cream which was suggested on the jar. Geez I was sooooo disappointed. I also bought Yes To Carrots conditioner….loved loved loved. I may try their Hair Mud. I was using Roots of Nature Green Tea Shea something or whatnot, my hair liked that but I was trying to use all natural products. I may stick to it. I balance the Roots of Nature with some oils and get awesome results.
@ Nikki and Dee. I tried the Target Curls cleanser and hated it. On my hair it feels like the worst of shampoo and co-washing combined. 1. I have to use a ton of it to feel like it's effective (and it's expensive compared to my TJ Nourish Spa). 2. I feel like it gets my hair/scalp clean enough. 3. It leaves my hair feeling dry because I have to use so much! I thought the whole point of a cream cleanser was not to dry out your hair!
Instead I use Renpure Organics My Pretty Hair is Parched shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair unbelievably soft and moisturized (even the shampoo). I don't think I'll ever use anything else.
Product Junkie? Where do I start! LOL It's all good because I have learned SO much (and still learning even after 5 yrs natural).
Anyway, I went to Target in search of Miss Jessies (of which I only do the buttercream and with the price, not that often)…only to discover Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie($9.99 12oz). With the natural ingredients & price I figured it was worth a try. I LOVE IT (and the compliments on how my hair smells). So it has joined my bathroom shelf (along with Knot Today and KCCC). But with all the $ I spend on different products, my natural mainstays: evoo, shea butter (I mix 'em), honey/evoo condish and aloe vera gel.
OH Ladies! Also, check out ZURESH (sista outta DC/MD area). You won't regret it. She's got a product called "Get Wet" and a curl enhancer (all natural products) but has skin products also (her body cremes…OMG). There's a few reviews on YT. WWW.ZURESH.COM
I just purchased Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo, Jane Carter Wrap and Roll, Avocado Oil, and Grapeseed Oil.I'm a new transitioner. I did a straw set last night using the Jane Carter Wrap and Roll and my curls were sooooo soft…love it. I am going out to purchase Giovanni Direct Leave in, Garnier Leave in, and Aussie Leave in to see which works best.
I found a new spot to purchase my favorite hair line Giovanni Organics. I usually buy the 8oz bottles from Target for around $8. However, I found a website www.massagewarehouse.com where I can buy a 1 liter bottle for around $12. This product has worked the best on my hair even when I was bringing it back from being a dry, brittle mess. I love the deep moisture shampoo and conditioner, the direct leave-in, and the tea tree conditioner for my mid-week co-wash (I'm doing P90X and need the extra wash). I made my first order of the products back in March and probably won't need to buy more until the new year. Approx. $50 for a years worth of of shampoos and conditioners makes me happy.
I bought marshmallow root at my local health food store. As suggested in a CN post, I made the "tea" and used it as a rinse. The slip was amazing! I decided to add the marshmallow "tea" to my AOHR to thin it and make it a leave-in, along with jojoba oil. I've been using aloe vera juice with the AOHR and love it as a leave-in. I'm hoping the marshmallow root will make the leave-in an even better detangler. I'll try it in a couple of days.
I just bought some Cold- Pressed Argan oil. When i tell you this stuff is good its goooood! I use it to seal in my moisturizer. A little goes a long way but it doesn't give my hair that greasy feeling but it works wonders on my twist-outs and it leaves my hair shiny and very very supple. I think this one's a staple!
Paul Mitchell foaming pomade love it! You don't need that much, i learned that the hard way but… makes my hair shiny and moisturized with a super soft firm hold. I'm in product luv!!
I just bought Yes to Carrots conditioner, Garnier leave-in conditioner, and Aussie 3 minute miracle. i used all but the Yes to Carrots but my hair loovvveess the leave-in and the Aussie makes it nice and soft
I recently started using the honey childs 'olive you"..OMG !!!! I looooooove this DC. I;ve been natural for a very short time 1 year and 6 months. And I've used quite a few different DC's from aubreys organic , jessicurl, curls, etc. This DC olive you is the best , the best ever of all of them. It leaves my hair so darn hydrated for daaaaays after wash day. using this little number with the heat cap is amazing, my hair is super soft, moisturized, curls are poping, the slip is amazing and with super shine.
Honestly, I'm believe I have found the only DC I need. Great stuff ! I must keep this in my regimen, I'd be silly not to .
I got the CURLS line products on the shampoo and conditioner. The Creamy Curl Cleanse and Coconut Curladd. It's something about this conditioner it just works! And for my hair the shampoo and conditioner just work well together, finally something together as a pair that I like. What's funny is I never thought I would like the products bc my impressions were that it was for bi-racial hair. But, never judge a book by its cover.
I'm about to go to Target and hopefully get the KNOT TODAY leave-in and look at some of the Curls products. Then off to Sallys to find some newbies!!! I may go back to using the Conditioning Balm. It worked very well on my relaxed hair and now that I'm 17 months post, I hope it'll work for my new growth.(FINGERS CROSSED)
I won the Curls stuff by registering on blackhairitagemonth.com. The site is still being developed but it's legit. Curls posted the giveaway on their FB page.
I guess Hairveda does giveways on FB ever so often. I was just the 1st to answer a question correctly.
I've just been on a lucky roll for a while lol. I also won a basket of the complete Cara B natural hair/skin line a couple of months ago on FB. Their stuff is FABULOUS for people/children with sensitive skin & for babies' & kids' hair. I gave the basket to my cousin with 3 children & she LOVES their stuff.
The Jessicurl haul was just her being extremely generous & looking out for her peeps lol. I love companies with a personal touch. I was SHOCKED by the offer.
I just bought shea moisture deep treatment mask for the first time and MAN did it leave my hair soft after the heatcap!!! super soft and curlies were hanging well…..me likey 😀
Dee Dubya–try HairOne cleanser from Sally's. I LOVE it! It's super moisturizing & my hair is always soft & really curly after using it.
I want to brag about my recent WINS! The only thing I've purchased is Curls Goddess gel from Target, but my name was drawn to win an enter full-sized product line from them. I cannot wait to get it! I also want to order the milkshake & souffle.
Jess from Jessicurl recently sent me a Weekly Deep Treatment, Too Shea conditioner, Hair Cleansing Cream, & Confident Coils. I am in LOVE with the Too, Shea & the WDT!!! I used the cleansing cream but it was after shampooing henna out so I don't really know how it works. I have to play around with the Confident Coils some too.
Also, on FB I answered a question correctly & won Hairveda SitriNillah deep conditioner. I've got 3 really good ones (SheaMoisture masque, Pantene Curls, & Jessicurl WDT) so I might give that one away. I'm about to give ALOT of stuff away!
I've only been following your blog for a few months now, but I'm OBSESSED! I find myself here whenever I have my laptop opened. Keep it up! 🙂
So…I just bought Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner, since reading the raves here. I plan to use it as a DT with honey and olive oil. Also trying the Aubrey Organics Mandarin Magic Ginkgo Leaf and Ginseng Root Hair Jelly for a light weight gel. I generally don't WnG in cold weather (I'm in NJ) because I don't sit under a dryer and I don't want a wet head on a cold day. Buuuut…I couldn't resist. 🙂 I'm gonna try it in-house to experiment for the summer. Crazy?
Also, purchased Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter and plan to use it for TnC, wet and dry. And the Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo…Pantene has really been drying with those sulfates.
I'm waiting for all these products to be delivered.
Oh…and about 3 weeks ago I bought my first henna. LOOOOOVE IT!! I've done 4 treatments and I am officially a HENNA HEAD! I wanted to try it as a conditioning treatment, but wasn't crazy about the idea of red hair. But, I am pleasantly surprised that I love the color. Thanks Nik. Having shopping ladies!
I'm trying the Aveda Dry Remedy shampoo and alternating the Dry Remedy conditioner with the Dry Remedy masque every week with my hair steamer. I use the Damage Remedy Leave-in and I twist my hair with the Be Curly curl enhancer. After only two weeks these products have transformed my crunchy rough coils to soft springy coils. Amazing products!
I purchased the Ouidad travel kit which includes the shampoo, conditioner, humidity control gel and refresher spray. I am gonna give it a try today. I try to purchase the travel kits because I am able to try the full system without having to invest a lot especially if I end up hating the product.
ShiKai Natural Everyday Conditioner is my new Leave In.I purchased the gallon size. It is worth the investment and reduces packaging (gotta be Earth Conscious, right). I use it under KCCC after I 'denman' my hair following my weekly washing. Sometimes it is hard to find a conditioner that plays nice with KCCC but these two products seem to be good friends.
Also, in my hand, I mix ShiKai Natural Everyday Conditioner with a few drops of JBCO(a recent repurchase) and use the combination kind of like setting lotion when I retwist my hair a couple of nights during the week between hair washing.
My SO and cat (yes, I admit I am one of those pet parents) likes the nuetral smell of ShiKai Natural Everyday Conditioner over HEHH.
I recently bought keracare natural textures curl cleansing creme, leave in and twist&define creme.I tried the twist&define creme needless to say I'm in LOVE the curl cleansing creme is divine I used to use kinky curly come clean and that left my hair feeling stripped so now I'm content and I didn't use a lot which was great haven't tried the leave in yet but if its anything like the others I'll be hooked lol. This might turn into my holy grail products
Thanks Nikki your review was on point!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought the koilsbynature leave in- conditioner has a ph of 4 for those who go by kimmaymethod. I also bought the gel and hair butter. Also has a ph of 4!
Do you really like the Curls Cleanser? I am looking for a protein-free poo, b/c the Giovanni TTT and SAS is making my hair uber dry! I'm just using it b/c it's better than sulfate shampoos. Also, I may try the one at Target just because it's easier to get to as opposed to the one online.
Let's see, recent purchases, I got some Trader Joe's Nourish Spa. It is 2.99 but reminds me of YTC. Hair LOVES it!!! My hair soaks it up and I use it with Wild Growth Oil for a Deep Condish.
Also, I got some Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Condish. It smells divine, like fresh oranges, but it failed to melt into my hair. It sat on top, it was weird. Also, when I rinsed it out in the shower, it left a waxy taste in my mouth, it was gross! I wonder if it was the cones. It was my first time trying cones since I BC'd 5 months ago, and it was not a good experience.
KimC, let me know how you like the CURLS Poo… I haven't tried the one at Target, but if it's anything like the one from on-line, wowswers… you'll love it!
I bought Giovanni Direct Leave in, because I heard so many good things about it, Curls creme cleanse, because I have not found a shampoo I like yet! Trying both later today!
I bought Cheyenne's (hair idol) much raved about silicone serum- Paul Mitchel Skinny Serum… just yesterday 🙂 I'll be using it to refresh 2nd, 3rd, and 4th day hair, reduce frizz, add shine and protect my ends. We'll see…
CurlyNikki, You have become my hair Shero..lol… I have tried just about everything, my closet looks like a beauty supply..
Petula
i discovered the local indian store this weekend and i'm in heaven…amla oil, natural henna, and chandrika soap which is great for the skin…natural products real cheap…i bought giovanni direct leave in…my hair doesnt like it…i saw a large bottle of gio shampoo n conditioner at tj maxx didnt buy it because i didnt like the leave in…my target does not have any of these great shea moisture products…vd
I bought Darcy's Botanicals avocado & honey twisting cream and the Natural Coils curling jelly. I bought them because I was in a bad mood lol.
~Belleaenca~
A bunch of moisturizers, conditioner and styling jelly were welcomed into my house 😉 I can't wait to get these kinky twists out and wash and treat my hair!
http://theaccidentalnatural.wordpress.com
Where are you ladies purchasing Keracare New textures line?
I brought some Kinky Curly Knot Today detangler and leave in. I never tried it before but I want to see how it works.
L'Oreal EverPure Shampoo & Conditioner (Sulfate Free & Rosemary Mint), Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpting Cream.
Both are AWESOME. Today I had a perfect curl day which is awesome because I took my engagement pictures today.
Thanks for asking and take care.

I bought some powders (amla, brahmi, maka), oil (brahmi), and shikakai shampoo bar. I'm adding them to my regimen!
I was SHOCKED by the offer.
kimmie, thanks!
ok, tell me how i can win some of that stuff from your giveaway!

**Happy shopping ladies!

CurlyNikki,
I've only been following your blog for a few months now, but I'm OBSESSED!
CurlyBlasian
Curly Nikki,
Do you really like the Curls Cleanser?
Garnier Leave in conditioner….and it worked just as well as Mixed Chicks leave in! 2.04 bucks vs 20.00?? I will take that any day!
We'll see…
