Vitamin D facilitates skeletal growth and strength, working with calcium and phosphorus to be absorbed better. It also strengthens your immune system by increasing the activity of “natural killer cells.”
You can get this vitamin by eating fatty fish (catfish, salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna) eggs, and meat. In more developed countries, staple foods such as milk, flour, and margarine are artificially fortified with vitamin D. Mushrooms are the only vegan/vegetarian food source of vitamin D.

The only thing I wonder is why no one has developed to get optimum vitamin D from the sun while using sunscreen. So we don't have to resort to vitamins? I mean they found so many benefits from the sun that the two disadvantages seem small comparison.
I am just saying especially now that i know I allergic to sunscreen.
I'm so glad mushrooms are a source or I'd probably be in trouble. I'm also glad I don't hate mushrooms lol love portobellas! I wasn't aware they're good for vitamin d though, thanks for mentioning that 🙂
