I love bangs! They frame the face, add shape and give subtle sass to any hair style. However, I’m too chicken to actually cut my bangs. I like to have fun with my hair and try different looks. Cutting bangs, in my opinion, will limit my style options…and that’s no fun lol! So, bored over the weekend, armed with a fab twistout and one bobby pin, I decided to experiment. The steps are super easy…just pin down your bang in and upward direction. Check the pics…

You can position the hair pin where ever you like to create different lengths. Also when you twist your hair, twist it towards the front. This will insure that your hair falls down on your forehead on its’s own. Super Easy – Super Cute!
Do you rock bangs?
Love it! My daughter has been asking for bangs and I didn't want to cut her hair so this idea is perfect. And your hair looks fabulous!!!! How did you style it, tutorial please.
Great idea! My hair is so long, I didn't think I could do bangs without cutting my hair. Good to have style options!
ok..as some mentioned before…BOMB twistout!
do share the secrets plz? =]
That is genius!! I'm trying that this weekend!
Thanks for all the love guys!!! And to the acne prone commenters, I'm in that group too, so I only do this every now and then. Most of my acne is on my cheeks and chin, but my forehead gets very oily at times. No mater if I'm wearing bangs or not, I try not to use to much product on my hair. It's better for the skin and it with allow your style outs to have more volume and body!
Thanx again ladies 🙂
My hair isn't long enough to have bangs yet but once it does grow out I will definately be rocking bangs. I'm not really a big fan of too much hair in my face so this is the road for me.
Great idea! Sometimes it's the simplest things that can make the biggest difference.
Your hair is very cute! What products do you use to create that awesome twist-out?
you have such pretty features and your hair is very nice!! this is a great idea! i'm anti-bangs but this is the perfect solution! when i first read the title i thought it was about adding in a piece to create a bang. this is even better!
Clever!! I'll have to try this. So simple but so cute! 🙂 ~KF519
You better WORK girl. Your hair is amazing. I'm definitely going to try this when I get out of my, lovely twa stage. Thanks!
I love this! I've never tried to use a bobby pin to adjust my "bang" but it's a great idea! I usually just twist to the front but I'm definitely going to try this!
@curlyhappy2 – I love the high puff with a bang also; I call it my puff 'n stuff! LOL.
Yes! I love bangs! I also pull my hair in a high puff with bangs (and a flower on the side if I'm feeling festive). Curly bangs are so cute! I've never tried creating shorter bangs with a pin though, because mine go to just above my eye lids (but I will certainly try your technique when I get more length!).
A good oil to try if your acne prone is jojoba. It most closely matches the sebum from your skin.
Pretty hair! I'm also a big fan of bangs but due to color damaging the front of my hair, I had to cut, and I ended up with bangs whether I wanted them or not. lol
Yes I just started. I did a twistout bang with the rest in a twistout puff. Everyone said it was cute.
I'm with Alicia, my skin is very acne prone and oily but when you use oils like almond oil, or castor oil those are actually great for your skin so I don't break out if my hair is on my face.
Girrrl, that twist out is the bomb! Love it!
Ummmm…..sooooo…..your twist out is fab!!! Tutorial?…please and thank you! 🙂
super cute idea! i love bangs because I have a totally Tyra/Rihanna 5head so that's a good tip *thumbs up*

I don't rock bangs b/c I have acne-prone skin and hair with oils and products in it sitting on my forehead would be a disaster. BUT, if I didn't have skin issues, I'd definitely rock hair in my face!
I rock bangs every day. Sometimes just a side bang, others a full frontal. I love them. This is a great idea for people with longer hair. I still have a lot of shrinkage but with a braid or twist out I can achieve a bang somewhat easily.
That is soo ingenious!! Thanks!
Can't wait until my hair grows so that I can rock bangs. **Goal**
That is such a great idea…and your hair is gorgeous!
