I’ll be twisting my dry hair tonight (with CURLS Souffle and a little water) for a twist-out tomorrow. I couldn’t be more excited… I’ve been thinking about ham for weeks now, lol.

I co-washed my hair with Aussie Moist last night. Then, I deep conditioned for 2-3 hours with Aussie Moist, honey, and some glycerin. After that, applied Kinky Curly's Knot Today and perm rodded my hair with Kinky Curly's Spiral Spritz.

Later this morning, when I take the rods down, I will pin the hair up like so: http://www.kisforkinky.com/2010/05/i-want-her-hair-roller-set-updo/

I'm wearing a braidout that i took down today …keeping it simple

  • Anonymous says:

Since I am at my fam's house and didn't want to travel with too many products, I plan to do a simple WNG. I may pin it up somehow but I suppose I will keep it simple.

I am doing a flexi rod set on my transitioning (month 7!) hair. I have pre-pooed, washed & conditioned, and set my wet hair on flexi rods; now I just need it to dry (will be under the dryer later tonight). I hope it turns out well.

Whats the difference between the Curls Souffle and the Whipped Cream? Im just keeping it simple with some cornrows or flat twists in the front and a puff or bantu knot outs in the back

  • aiden says:

Kinky twists. They are a hot mess so far. It's okay though, I plan to wear them in a bun with a Snooki poof.

@SaBrina: Thanks for linking to those pics! They are gorg!

My Karen's body beautiful came in and I purchased Paul Mitchell skinny serum. Twisting tonight on damp hair, and taking them out tomorrow before I go out.

Deep condition then Curlformers! No heat šŸ™‚

  • Anonymous says:

Im not really going all out I did a flat twist pin-up protective style yesterday after washing and conditioning and my hair will be like this for at least the next week so no cool holiday hair for me, maybe christmas.

    @SaBrina
I used mayo, eggs, honey, and olive oil. Yes, I did apply it to my wet hair after I shampooed. It was my first time uing this particular protein treat, I loved the results. I did my normal conditioning afterwards. I got the recipe from Naptuural85 on Youtube. Check her out…

So, Thanksgiving is also my Birthday so I had to try a lil' something new.

Cleansing: I pre-pooed with Cantu Conditioner for bout 15 minutes, then I did an ACV w/Herb Rinse.

Deep Conditioning: Next, I soaked my hair in EVOO and let it sit for 10minutes before adding some "Kiss My Face- Organic Conditioner" to it. I detangled my hair and kept that mix in for about 35 minutes & Rinsed!

Styling: Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue for a Twist-Out! Under a dryer for 30minutes, then let the rest air dry until tomorrow!

    I cant wait until tomorrow!

Here's how it looks in the back as well.

With all the cooking, I might only have time for a very fast and easy 'do!

I'm pulling out the Curlformers. I have used them about 3x already with surprisingly great results on my 4b hair even though they only last about 2 days. But that's all I need..

  • T.Turner says:

Just styled my hair last night and took it out this morning, lol. I did a twist 'n' curl, my staple style. All set for eating and pictures! (hopefully it won't look weird in the photos). lol

  • Curly Chic says:

Been wearing a dry braid out all week so I will probably stick with that.

I'm rocking a cinnabun with a pompadour in the front.

  • Anonymous says:

Full spiral set…I'm sure it'll be a mess but I have a ton of back up plans

  • Anonymous says:

I am rocking a straw set from SUnday (on my shoulder length hair that has curled to my ears) that I pinned one side up this morning. It may become a mohawk tomorrow. I'm not ready to re-style my hair all over again just yet.

I love the dry twist out! I'm loving the stretched look it gives with still loads of fullness…Anywho, my holiday hair plans are that since I had my hair roller set and flat ironed (for like the first time in a year), I am still rocking the straight do but with some added curl. I'm going to set my hair dry on rods tonight and have bouncy curls for tomorrow. Unfortunately its going to rain, but I really do miss my natural curl so I'm not afraid! lol

  • honeybrown1976 says:

I'm doing a deep conditioning tonight with some amla powder mixed in. I'm just bunning my hair tomorrow.

  • Unknown says:

I cant let my hair get in the way of the many plates of food I plan to devour. Bun for me it will be! I ♄ turkey day!

  • Moni says:

I tried a new cowash technique last night. Detangled with vatika oil and braided my hair into 5 big braids (2 on either side of my head, 1 in the center of my head, 2 in the back). Cowashed my HEHH (first time using it, really liked it), redid the braids using Shea Moisture Smoothie and Moisture/Hold spray (both new as well), with a little vatika oil on the ends. It was much quicker than my normal routine of 8-14 braids and resulted in a soft, moisturized, bouncy braidout today. I love this combo and will definitely be using it again!

  • SaBrina says:

Just curious on the treatment of mayo and eggs do you put that on wet hair or is it better on dry hair? I've never done it before but heard you guys mention it on here. I personally will just have twists/twistouts for my hair. I'm only cooking one thing and bringing that over to moms and that will be italian pasta with chicken salad which will include feta cheese, olives, mixed with everything else and that's it for me.

  • Anonymous says:

I just finished my first mini two strand twists on my whole head and it came out super cute. I will probably run to Target today for some hair accessories…….probably will pin it up to one side tomorrow.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

I’m laughing at how everyone is going all out. I actually had to use clarifying shampoo because I had serious build up. I followed it with protein treatment with mayo and eggs. My curls will be nice and full with a lot of shine. My hair has grown a lot since the last family get together, I can't wait for everyone to see my hair tomorrow!
There is a part of me that wants to bring the shock value and come with a serious Afro blowout….

I DC today since I am leaving for my mother's today. I get a haircut every Saturday, but do not trust anyone back home, so my biggest thing will be waiting all the way until next week for my haircut. I know I can do it! šŸ™‚

  • Unknown says:

It's a wash day for me so I will wash and dc. As far as styling, think i'm gonna do a twist and curl. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

  • Anonymous says:

I will be DC'ing tonight while cooking up a storm!! My style tomorrow depends on how tired I'll be tonight after cooking. I figure, if my hair looks bad, no one will notice if the food tastes good!!

  • Anonymous says:

I'm wearing a mini twist bantu knot out, pinned up in the back and on one side. I have to do my daughter's hair tonight and she'll be getting cornrows up into a bun…I should probably go to claire's and get her a cute flower for it.

  • Anonymous says:

  • Ebcenia says:

    Hey Nikki,

I'm going to my boyfriend's house for thanksgiving and he wants me to go all out! He wants me to Henna my hair and do a twist-n-curl, but i dont know if it will be dry by the time he wants to leave tomorrow, i might do you dry twist out tonight and call it a day!

  • SouthernBelle44 says:

I plan to go ALL out tonight! Wash (or co-wash), deep condition, trim, and a braid-out. I recently colored my hair, so my main thing now is to make sure I keep my hair moisturized. Happy Thanksgiving!
