Remember Traci?! She’s back and with even more hair porn:

A Recipe for Dry Twist-Out Massiveness

Sunday:

1. Scalp massage with brahmi, rosemary, bhringaraj oil mix
2. Conditioner wash and detangle with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration
3. Leave that in, and add bottom of the bottle remnants of Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose, and Aubry Organics Protein Balance for a deep treatment with heat
4. Detangle and wash out conditioner, then twist with Renpure My Pretty Hair Is Parched conditioner, coconut oil, and Miss Jessie’s Stretch Silkening Creme (I’m no great fan of MJ products, but bought this on a whim, so I’m trying to use it up. Plus, in small amounts, it doesn’t suck for hold)
Monday:
1. After wearing twist-out for the day, fingercomb/brush lightly
2. Re-twist with Qhemet Burdock Root Butter Cream
3. Spritz twists with mix of water and Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-in
Tuesday
1. Release twists
2. Get damn near blown away by the wind for approximately two New York City blocks

3. Waahlaa! Massiveness.

Thanks y'all! The ayurvedic thing is just something I'm trying — I noticed the last time I straightened that my hair was a little thinner in the front, so I'm just trying to get it back into fighting shape. From what I've ready the ayurvedic oils are good for strengthening and thicken.

So I'll keep y'all posted on how it's going.

@Anonymous: So coincidental you asked about the end curling! For the longest I'd been using a rod or flexi roller on the end and had the exact same issue — funky shaped curls. So recently (like last week), I decided to just let my ends curl on their own and I like the results MUCH better. Definitely not as stretched, but at least the curl is uniform.
(I still do throw a curler or two in the front since it's much straigter there).

Ahh, I'm a natural Traci too! Same spelling and everything. Don't get to encounter many Traceys at all let alone a "Traci". My hair is not as huge as yours though! I've seen you in some other posts as well. Sooo glad to see that your hair is still big, stylin' and thrivin'. (^_^)

Your hair looks very healthy and lovely. DO you put anything on the ends to curl them? My hair looks like the same type as yours and I found out recently that it (for some reason) does much better being allowed to curl on its own rather than putting a curler/rod on the ends. I tried using curlers, rods, flexirods on the ends and every time I took them out the next morning, the ends looked weird/bent/nonuniform. So, now I twist/braid to the end , spray water and dab a little coconut oil on the ends and let them dry/shrink/curl up on their own. It looks so much better. I guess my crazy ass hair just wants to be free.
