It’s that time again! The images below are of CN readers at their flyyest…at work, on the town, and with the fam. Showing us all that natural hair is not a fad, it’s a way of life…an extension of our beauty! Click on the images to enlarge them:
Last night… watching momma twist her hair.
Heading out to a restaurant with baby D. I did a twist out with flat braids on the side.
I was on my way to work and really feeling my mohawk with my brand new, versatile Devacut. They used Set It Free mixed with Heaven In Hair scrunched into my hair before I went under the dryer. I used one comb on each side to get this easy mohawk.
This picture was taken at a girls night out event at a local boutique. I used Knot Today and KCCC. I was 14 months post big chop.
This was my first ever twist-out! I bc’d on 7/2/10 and finally had enough growth to attempt it. I was headed to run some errands in between writing midterms.
This is a picture of me wearing a two-strand twist out for a Dean’s List celebration @ my daughter’s college. I wore my hair in two-strand twists for about a week and then took them down and moisturized with B&B Moisturizing Cream and coconut oil. Got tons of compliments and my daughter loved it! The huge grin is because I was so proud of my daughter for making the Dean’s List 😉
Here is a snapshot of myself before heading out for cocktails with the girls. It was my first time experimenting with a flexi-rod set and I’ve gotta say, I was pleased with the results. My hair was uber soft and had a nice natural sheen to it!
My hair at the end of a long day of classes. Crazy shrinkage! But I think it still looks good. I parted the middle, made seven flat twists and rodded the ends. I used water and pomade to tie down my edges.
Send in your favorite picture with a caption detailing where you were (or where you were headed to), along with a brief description of your hairstyle, to firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll post several each Friday. Be sure to use ‘Fierce Friday’ as the subject line!
We need more for next week!
Forgot to add that I'm glad tht KCCC works for Kyna, it bombed on me.
Peace from NYC
Love the looks and baby G as usual! I thought I looked good for 40, so now I know that 43 could look just as well. Pamela you rock lady.
Peace from NYC
Can we please get Hartphelt to do a tutorial for us?? pretty please 🙂
thank you ladies! Skeeta, I think you're right!
Baby G has your eyes, she look just like u! ;o)
Here is some natural hair porn for you guys, http://www.youtube.com/user/Longhairdontcare2011she just flat ironed her hair again, and it is gorgeous. She is waistlength and then some, enjoy ladies, because natural hair does grow and being black shows that you can still have it.
PLEASE do a natural hair icon for Jacquelyn!!
I am LOVIN' her hair!
SaBrina and mood_indigo your comments just made my day! I'm actually 43 years old 😉
Ok, everyone looks great but I have to focus on Pamela! You could not possibly have a daughter in college! You must have had her when you were like 10!!:-)
Now I must state this befor typing my comment that I'm no gay nor lesbian, but Ddayum Jacquelyn is drop dead gorgeous with all of that thick lovely hair, and definitely working the outfit. Pamela all I can say is "Wow" because you don't look old enough to have a daughter in college, you could pass for 26 or 28. Love your hair and pretty smile as well. Tiga congrats on the arrival of your baby as well, and I love the twist out with flat braids. Did you keep that in over night or a couple of days for the style? Congrats on everyone for showing such beautiful pictures today.
Baby G is too cute!!! That's right Nikki, teach her early. LOL!! And Jaquelyn, OMG, I LOVE THAT TWIST OUT!!!
Haters? What haters? Ive seen nothing but love for CN and her family.
No drama need be inserted here. Not the place for it.
Everyone looks GAWJUS!
I enjoy having Baby G's picture FIRST. It is a nice break from the CN pictures that I enjoy all week.
CN: Please keep doing you and Baby Gia. Ignore the haters.
BTW: I enjoy the picture of MN because my hair is finally long enough to get into a mohawk.
Hartphelt please dish on how you achieved your do.
I'd really appreciate if gia's pic was last so I can enjoy CN readers pictures.
